Have helped individuals in the community, their own homes, outpatient clinical settings, nursing and rehabilitaton facilities, and group home environments.

I enjoy working with the elderly and enjoy being a caregiver. I enjoy making them smile and helping in what I can to make easier on them and the family. I cared for my dad when he was sick and i enjoyed every minute I had with him. I have worked in a dementia and Alzheimer's unit we had didn't resident with different situations i enjoyed it very much. I heard stories about thier life's and it was rewarding to see thier smiles daily.

When I Was 23 My Grandmother Was Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer. My Dad Aunts & Uncles All Kinda Sat Around A Table Looking At Each Other Trying To Determine The Best Solution For My Grandmother. They Decided They Would Hire A Local Agency. I Applied To Care For Her & Was Hired For The Job. My Grandmother Lived Two Years After Her Diagnosis. She Made Me Realize That Families & The Elderly Really Need Help. My Grandmother Told Me One Day "It Takes A Special Person To Do What You Do" From That Day Forward I Wanted To Help Where I Was Needed. Fast Forward 8 Years I'm Still Caregiving & Doing What I Love Helping Others. I'm Bilingual And A Fast Learner.

I graduated college with an Associates degree in Applier Sciences then worked for as a medical assistant for 2 years for doctors who specialized in geriatrics, although I absolutely loved my patients I wanted to be with them longer than the usual doctor's visit. I got married in February and moved with my husband who is currently serving the military and I thought it would be a great opportunity to strive for something I have a passion for, helping others. I fell in love with the age group that has so many stories and advice to give from my very first day at the clinic. I am fluent in English and Spanish so communication is not an issue, I love being able to help others and am incredibly friendly. I get along with pretty much h everyone as soon as we get over the shy face of me which typically does not last long at all. I am extremely familiar with medications and common disorders, I am comfortable with all pets of that is ever a concern. My mother has worked as a caregiver for over 10 years and although I did go to school for something different I found that this is what I have a passion for.
