Hello I am a longtime caregiver, health aid, dsp, pca, and stna! recently moved back home with my parents to help care for them as well with daily life living!! I love my job and I have been interested in the medical field since a young girl even taking the health program my 4 yrs of high school at a career technical school!! I'm very passionate about my career; I am proud of my other achievements as well like being a cosmologist and also a front and back of the house cook before dappling in the culinary field. I have work beside a couple a chefs and learn a lot along the way! I love to cook it's my most favorite hobby I enjoy! Also I love music mostly all genres and to read! I like to do puzzles and watch a good movie/show when I can!! Hi! My name is Chrissy and I'm a wife and a mom of two teenage boys. Besides raising my boys, we are a family of 10 goats, a ton of chickens (fresh eggs!!), and three dogs, all adopted. I have been in emergency care for 10+ years and love giving back to my community. I currently work in the town I grew up in. I have made lifelong relationships while being there and consider them a part of my family. My very first job out of high school was a CNA at Beecher Anchorage. I formed some pretty strong bonds with some of the residents along with their families. I love helping take care of people and know that I am making a difference in someone else's life. One of the things I am most proud of is that I took care of my mother who was dying of lung cancer. I was the best advocate for her that I could be. I kept her safe and comfortable to live out the last days of her life. I have done a little of everything in the medical field. I have worked in the ER, assisted living, home health and hospice and live in private duty. When I am not working I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with my family.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I like being able to help the elderly live with some independence in their life. One of my achievements was to receive an A in my CNA class. I am a responsible person. I would like to add that I have already had a fingerprinted background check. I am on the Illinois health registry. I have my current CPR as well.

I believe growing up with my grandma gave me hope to help the elderly. Being able to say I helped with people grandparents and mothers or fathers. Absolutely everything from taking care of the elderly to companionship. Becoming a better person then yesterday.
