I currently work at a nursing facility and I have a fan base there!! I can tell if I'm away for to long cause they are always asking other caregivers where is Lisa? When is SHE scheduled to return? When I do report to work, I'm always given hugs and words of appreciation. It's a good feeling. Going out of my way for a person is no big deal. It's needed sometimes cause your clients are your family too.

What helped me become a great care give is having patience, a kind heart, and I try my best to sympathize with my residence. What attracted me more being a caregiver is when I walk out the door knowing my residence felt like they were very well taken care of.
