I am very patient and empathetic and have personal experience with my grandparents in caring for them. I enjoy the satisfaction of being with the elderly and rewarding to see that it brightens their day to actually be heard and noticed. I am proud to be a Lymphoma survivor myself and almost completing my Master's in my recovery.

Hi there! My names Megan. From a young age I had a very close relationship with my nana (grandmother). She always suffered from multiple health problems and I always did my best to help her. Because of her I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people. I worked in a hospital for about a year and decided to switch my major to nutrition. I will still be healing people, just with food.

I'm a caregiver by nature. I am interested in developing true friendships.

My name is Mayra Acuna and I am 25 years old. I am going to school to become a DNP (Doctor of Science in Nursing- Nurse Practitioner). I love working as a caregiver because I can help patients become as independent as possible so that they can continue living their life to the best of their abilities. I chose this job because once I graduate as a doctor (which is a couple years away), I will be able to assist my patients better and give them the proper care because I have been in their homes and have seen how they truly live. I think that it is very important for a caregiver to show love, passion, and compassion toward what they do, and that is exactly how I feel with this job. When I say that I am a caregiver, I say it with pride. A lot of people may view this as a just another job but for me, this is more than just a job, it is a steppingstone to what I want to do as a career for the rest of my life. Therefore, I take every day seriously and I treat every patient with the love and respect that I would treat someone from my family.

Educating and gaining greater experience working with seniors, disabled friends and family in my community. Additionally, received training for nearly all aspects of a caregiver (bathing, cooking, cleaning, lifting, reaching, mobility, communications, documentation, transportation to/from hospital or doctors appointments, pharmacy or grocery shopping client/patient has severe back pain, assisted radiologist (Cat scan/MRI) techs with transfer from wheelchairs, walkers, scooters to/from multiple medical facilities in Henderson and Las Vegas.
