I try to create a special bond with all of my residents I'd like to think as if I am taking care of my own family because that would be the kind of care that I expect from any caregiver. I am very social and creative which helps with getting comfortable with my newer residents. I decided to get into caregiving while I am in school for my BSN, it's helping me gain experience that I will need going into my career. I love hearing about my residents lives where they grew up, any hobbies they have, about their family they all have such good stories and wisdom to share. A personal achievement that i am proud of is having the patience to work with my residents many people get frustrated easily but I'm willing to take the time and put in my work to get things done in a safe manner.

I enjoy helping others overall. I started out doing home health or being care provider for that very reason to help. It's so many people that need help and so little people who are helping. I'm a people person I find joy in helping others.

I have been a caregiver since 2004. I effectively became a full time caregiver in 2014 when I took care of a private patient with history of stroke and bed bound. I have experience with clients in hospice, diaper change, repositioning every two hours with range of motion exercises. I provide assistance with meal preparation, medication reminders, light house keeping, transferring, mobility, and morning hygiene. I assist with ADL's assistance of daily living. In the past I have worked with clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, depression, history of stroke, hospice, hearing loss and patients in wheelchairs. I enjoy what I do. I get rewarded every time I'm able to help someone else. Helping others is what I enjoy the most. Caregiving is a gift because you know you can make a difference in the lives of others no matter what their needs are. I'm currently is school for respiratory therapist and I love the medical field. I'm also a medical assistance since 2008. I'm CPR certified and bilingual in English and Spanish. I would love to work with your family and create beautiful memories.
