Hello, my name is Ana, I have been exposed to senior care since a very young age. Caring for the elderly is a family affair, what sets me apart from other caregivers is my passion, empathy, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that every patient is happy and well cared for. I have been caring for seniors 15+ years. I obtained my CNA at Mira-Costa as well as background/criminal check, fingerprints, CPR, and First Aid. I can provide a caregiver registry number and proof of liability insurance. I also have an Associates degree in Business and in Liberal Arts. I have extensive skill and knowledge in the care for senior citizens, including, Alzheimer disease, dementia, Parkinson's, hospice, daily living needs, bathing, medication, meals, housekeeping duties, errands, among many others. Seniors deserve to be treated with compassion, dignity, and the up most care. As a caregiver my first priority is to ensure that all of their needs are being met to the best of my ability.

I am a qualified Certified Nurse Assistant currently working as a Palomar Home Health Care Assistant with terminally ill elderly patients and also at the Brain Trauma Learning Center in Escondido. I changed careers from restaurant management to health care 4 years ago after taking care of my elderly father during his cancer treatment. In 2006 my wife returned from a middle east deployment with the Air Force and underwent major surgery at Balboa Naval Medical Center. I helped her through her physical therapy and convalescence and began to take classes at Mesa College in 2008 to be a Physical Therapy Assistant. My wife returned from another overseas tour in 2010 needing physical therapy and I was not able to finish the program. Mesa College lost its Physical Therapy Assistant accreditation for the following year so I completed the Certified Nurse Assistant program at Miracosta College instead. My resume and transcripts detail my college classes related to health care, physical therapy and medical treatment procedures. After working for 8 months at St Paul’s and an additional 20 months directly with terminal home care patients at Palomar, and at the Brain Trauma Learning center, I have learned to treat each patient as an individual, listening to and meeting their needs and choices as much as possible.
