I'm very patient. I enjoy helping people im anyway possible. I used to be a caregiver with my own relatives, the idea of taking care of someone makes me happy. Personally one of my greatest achievements is moving out of my parents house and successfully living on my own.

My name is kiana. I am a college student majoring in Nursing science. I have an absolute passion for being of service to others. I am very attentive, detailed, organized, punctual, and patient. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the relationships and connections I am able to build with those that I care for. Caring for others is what I have done all my life I was a nanny before I became a caregiver and I have enjoyed every second of it ever since. Hello! If I were asked what part of my life I want to change? I would change my degree, from Computer Science to Nursing. I've been a housewife here in the US for 10 years. Now, I chose this medical path for I believe all this Anatomy and Physiology knowledge are helpful to myself, to my family and to other people. I am 42 and I am pursuing a nursing degree in a community college. I worked as CNA in a skilled nursing facility in McKinney, TX. I spend more time caring for MS and Dementia residents. Learning is a never ending process. To be healthy inside and out, we must first feed the brain with good things and good information. Caring for my own parents have been a passion of mine since birth. I think what makes a person a great Caregiver is someone who had compassion and respect for those they take care of. I'd like to say I fit in that category! My first experience of taking care of someone and all their daily needs was my grandmother. She was fighting cancer and the last month to her passing it was my mom, aunt, uncle, brother and I taking care if her in shifts of 12 hours. It really opened me up to wanting to be more there for other people. It's also what inspired me to become a registered nurse. I love everything about being a Caregiver. Sometimes it's not an easy job, but I always imagine putting myself in the families shoes because of what happened to my grandmother. I'm most proud of the fact that I'm doing so much with my life. I know when I finish my schooling to become a register nurse I'll be able to do so much more.

I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh.
