I still take care of my disabled veteran dad & he's 70yrs old that has had multiple operations from Kidney, gastrointestinal & brain. I took care of my Grandmother til Aug of 2019 she passed from dementia. As of present, I work 4 days a week 8 hrs a day. I started as a temporary caregiver before I went to LVN school. I was hired for companionship. When I started working, I never thought that even just for companionship, I can make a difference. My client lives alone. Every time I'm with my client, I felt happy because I was part of my client life. My client started smiling and showed happiness. In a short time I was with my client, we created a bond to each other. We go to the gym together and even to grocery store. I had a great experienced with my first caregiving job. After I graduated from my LVN school, I work with a physician who is a medical director to both home health and hospice. I went to see patients with him to client's home and I was blessed to be part of his ministry. Even though I was not part of any of his patients everyday life, I was blessed enough be there for them in a little time. Even for just a day, I got to know a lot of things about my clients.

I then enrolled in the Nursing program, which I am currently working towards finishing my degree. I have worked in Long-term care, Home Health, as well as with Alzheimer and Dementia. What would make me be a great caregiver is that I have personal experience dealing with closed family members who needed help. My ex husband suffer an accident in 2015, he became a vegetable after his accident and had to care for him 24/7 until he passed away in 2016. Hello, My name is Aireanna. I've been working in healthcare for a little over five years. My mission is to assist and help as may families as I can.

I am a mother of two, a 5 year old and a one month old. I'm currently a student at San Bernardino valley college studying to be a nurse or a ultrasound technician. I love to take care of people, be there for them and help them in anyway I can. I have a big heart and I love that feeling of being able to help even if it's a small thing. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is seeing that person smile and feel good about themselves. Seeing them have no worry or stress in the world. Even in there hard moments or the moments they want to give up just to be there in that moment and hear them out and help them in anyway possible. I'm most proud of being there in the toughest moments with my grandma who is now rapidly declining with dementia. It's hard to see her like that but having her not remember everyone to seeing her remember who I was and also her great grandkids was the best thing I ever experienced. Just to have her be normal for a little way and enjoy things she did before she got sick was something I'll cherish forever.

I became a caregiver because of my son needing care as a child due to a stroke. I love the idea of taking care of people. It makes me feel like I'm helping someone achieve something. I'm very proud of being a mother of four children. It's been such a joy to watch them grow into beautiful young adults. I love learning about God and telling others about what he has done for me!
