Hello, all! I am 23 years young, and a nursing student here in Austin, TX. I am kind, patient, and compassionate, which translates into the care I provide to the elderly. I love taking care of people, and making sure they are happy and healthy to the best of my abilities! I enjoy getting to know the person I am caring for, and providing individualized care. I speak some basic German, as I studied abroad there for a year in college.

I do care. I have a good heart, and I am very patient and a good listener. Not only that, I like to help people in general. I can communicate with English, Chinese[Cantonese & Mandarin]. I am a good cook. Furthermore, I love photography, I took great photos.

What makes me a great caregiver ? -Personality (need an innate sense of selflessness and empathy) Experience , training ,reliability ,accountability ,honesty, and financial need. Why did I become a caregiver ? -After watching my mom take care and aid her parents at home. I knew I wanted to become more hands on with patients. Being a caregiver such an honor , it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on my face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. What do I like being a caregiver? -being a caregiver for 16 years has helped me in so many ways. I have worked on hospitals, nursing home, facilities, private duty etc. I love what I do in helping each clients I've ever worked with. Taking care of sicks people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care. What is my personal achievement I'm proud of? -Christian believer -my immediate family -wider family , friends and loved ones

I studied care for those who are sickly and in need of all kinds of help. I am young so I am open to learning and fast to learning as well. I worked as a caregiver after achieving my BS in Kinesiology, so I am well versed in exercise science as well as care for the elderly and those suffering from dementia. I like being a caregiver because I am passionate about helping those in need and providing optimal care for the all types of individuals. I am highly respectful of all cultures, those known and those I have not been introduced to yet. I am excited to meet the different individuals through this experience and I am also excited to learn about all the different types of care.

I am a great caregiver because I genuinely care about people and their well being. I've worked at an assisted home for four years and seen the mistreatment of elderly and it broke my heart to see people getting treated the way they were treated. I have compassion and patience which I think are the most important qualities in caring for an individual. I am a recently divorced 53 you're old woman who has been taking care of other people for a long time. While I can't lift someone off the floor I can help with many other things including bathing toilet cooking vacuuming dishes organizing laundry medication and appointment reminders going on walks companionship reading out loud to the blind or sight impaired and many other random things. I'm looking for something currently in the afternoon or evening that has a place to park and is not too far away. Currently I take care of 100 year old veteran for about a year-and-a-half. I became a caregiver because I personally experienced the emotional support I received from other caregivers when I was taking care of my own father. I am thrilled to have ability to pay it forward! I believe that everyone has the right to self-determination in all areas of their life. I am most grateful that I am able to volunteer with Hospice of the Conejo to provide companionship and respite care to those in need.
