I live with my parents and I take care of them all the time because they are old and have health problems. Parents can't drive because of their health problems so I take them wherever they want to go, like health appointments, shopping. I love helping the elderly a lot and enjoy talking to them.

It is fulfilling to care for others and help people remain as independent as possible. I lead with understanding and compassion. I understand it can be difficult for older adults to need assistance in areas where they may not have needed it in the past, and I hope to provide a compassionate and caring presence as they learn a new normal.

I have experience caring for my mother in hospice, and 2 of my Aunts with COPD, Orthopedic, cleaning, and bathing

I'm an outgoing Open minded individual. I have always loved taking care of people I was a homemaker 10 years prior to trying to come back into the workforce. I have worked with individuals windividuals with osteoporosa is osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis and I have and am currently working with individuals with depression and anxiety. I enjoy taking care of people to know that they're OK and they're not being taking advantage of. Too many times this world has been cruel to those that need help I'd like to be a change in that.

I am a personable individual who loves to help others and to hear life stories of those who have lived through many era's. Throughout my 10+ years working in the medical field in different capacities, I was always happiest when I was 1:1 with my elderly patients. I get a sense of joy and heightened energy when one relys on me for basic, or more detailed assistance and companionship. Although I have not been working in the medical for a few years, I have not lost that passion or desire to return to a position where I thrive the most. I am personally proud of my experiences and training within the medical field.

I like seeing the people around me happy. I also like making sure they are well taken care of.

While caring for my grandfather and grandmother in their last years, I found a passion for providing proper care to elderly patients. It is crucial to me that you get treated how I would want my family to be treated. I truly enjoy spending time with my clients and getting to know them. I am caring, patient, reliable, and trustworthy.

I enjoy helping others as well as being a fun companion. I love meeting new people, I love animals, sports, games, puzzles, and overall just enjoying everyday. I think being a caregiver is heartwarming because of the impact you make on someone's life and vice verse. A personal achievement I am proud of is completing a military enlistment.

I'm a very compassionate loving person, very patient and kind. Being a caregiver has given me the opportunity to strengthen my interpersonal and work environment skills. I love getting to know my clients through conversation and role playing. I also enjoy being able to use these skills to help my mom a couple hours a week.

I consider myself to be very calm and respectful. I am patient, gentle, and have two years of experience taking care of senior citizens. I enjoy listening to the elderly and find their stories interesting. I also like to make them laugh when I can. I am thankful for the chances I've had since I've arrived in the United States to become a citizen, go to school, learn English,and have a great family. I feel blessed and thankful to know that God is watching over my family and I and sustaining us.

My personality traits or expertise that would help me be a great caregiver patience and or kindness and respect! What attracted me the most about wanting to be a caregiver is spending quality time of getting to know that person with giving companionship or being able to be a helping hand and just giving that extra care! I really enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know about patient , and not only just helping with housekeeping or filling meds but just to hear their wonderful stories or knowing that the person knows that they can always count on you and you will be by their side no matter what , I want my patient to feel safe and cared! I've been a caregiver for 21 years

Hi, I'm Delphonia! I've known since I was a young girl that helping others was in my spirit. My 1st job at the age of 19 was in a nursing home. I started in the laundry room, but my passion was really in direct care, so ever since then this it's all I've done in some capacity as an HHA, CNA, MA, MAS, Dr's offices, residential care etc.. I believe my many years of experience makes me the perfect candidate to look after your loved one. I looked after both my parents after they had their strokes . Working in nursing homes, home health care, hospitals, afforded me the ability to work with patients of al ages with various health problems. I especially love working with the elderly; the wisdom, knowledge I gain, and sincerity is like no other. There's nothing else I'd rather be spending my time doing. I can truly say that caregiving is my calling. I became a caregiver because I've known since I was a little girl that I wanted to be in the medical field in some capacity. Taking care people was in my blood. I was always the one who bandaged up my baby dolls, or my friends who needed it, or the animals who were hurt, so when I got my first job at a nursing home working in the laundry room and housekeeping, being around those precious residents just solidified my true calling and this is what I was meant to do. I became a NA (nurses' assistant) , now known as CNA's, long before you needed a license, or before you had to go to state board to pass a test, so that was back in the 80's. I was 19 years old and I'll soon be 50. This is what I've done most of my adult life. I don't think of it as a job, or a career, I think of it as just spending time with someone who needs a little extra help in their seasoned years. I absolutely love it. I honestly couldn't see myself doing anything else.

What makes me a great care giver is first of all, my heart. I do this because I love to and when you do what you love it is not work. I am caring empathetic and compassionate. With over 40 years of senior care, I have extensive experience in ALL aspects of caring for the elderly and providing the very best in quality of life care. To name a few; Alzheimer/Dementia Care and communication strategies(redirection, therapeutic fibbing, or "going along" as long as it doesn't put the client at risk). Anxiety reduction, social interaction and companionship. Bathing and personal hygiene, great cook and homemaker. Observant and aware of changes in clients well-being and communicating those changes to family and/or Doctors. Educated in home safety and recognizing possible barriers to client safety and ways to improve or remove those barriers. Excellent communicator and team player. There are many things I have done over the years as a caregiver that I am proud of. One in general, as to all my client's has been to provide the very best in care and compassion and afford them the quality of life, respect and dignity we all deserve. As a care manager for my previous client, I was able to ensure that she was truly loved and happy. I ensured all her needs and wishes were met and she knew she was cared for as well as her home. Her knowing She was loved was important to me. I have excellent references if requested.

I have compassion and a heart for those who struggle, whether it be from injury, illness or just the aging process. I am very attentive and observant to the needs of the people that are in my care. I work very hard and am thorough in my duties. I am also, reliable and responsible. From the time I was little I have wanted to be a nurse. That desire has been cultivated through my life and experiences with watching and helping care for both of my grandparents struggle and pass away from cancer. During this process I spent many hours in hospitals and rehab, observing the caregivers they had and being blessed by the good ones. I enjoy the feeling of helping people in their times of their biggest need, whether it be physical or emotional. Feeling like I can make a difference in someone's life is my biggest blessing. I have recently graduated from high school, having all of my college prerequisites done for nursing school and in the process obtained my CNA and have been working with that in a nursing home.

I have been a proud caregiver for 15+ years and have always given my all to caring for individuals that require daily assistance to perform daily acts of living. I have extensive experience in caring for special needs and dementia. I also was a live in caregiver for three years for an individual with ALS that required complete care 24 hours a day. I am a very compassionate person and caring for others has brought me so much joy.

I am a certified nurses assistant with 20yrs of experience with home health care, skilled nursing to include Alzheimers Wing/Hospice and Palliative care. I work full time with Cochlear Americas as a billing specialist. I miss patient care and would love to be able to help out someone in need around my residence.
