I started to work as a caregiver at Home Instead senior care. I enjoyed working with my first client, helping her with everything like toileting, prepare meal bathing feeding her and cleaning her house. I was very compassionate to her.

I am a kind and compassionate caregiver; having worked for 26 years as a Registered Nurse. I enjoy being able to make someone's life a little easier, safer, happier for both my client and their loved ones who hire me.

I enjoy being a caregiver because I am passionate about helping others. I am a certified nurse aid through the state of Colorado and I am also going to be starring nursing school. I have a daughter of my own, as well as a dog we adopted while my family was stationed in Guam. I have worked with dementia patients as well as bed ridden patients. I'm 42 and a mother to 6 beautiful children. My passion is to comfort and help people in all aspect of life. I have a very big heart who cares about everyone. I'm very sympathetic and caring. I enjoy helping people. As a care giver working in assisted living I notice that most people don't get the right kind of care. I feel to many people look at this as money just a job. They have no compassion for what they do. That is my motivation. I have met so many wonderful people and families. To know they have there lives one in good hands.

I have worked as a caregiver on and off for over 27 years. I have worked both with the elderly and the developmentally disabled. The last 15 years I have switched to doing more administration work which I have not found near the sense of personal achievement. I find myself now at a cross roads. I still currently work part time as a staffing coordinator at our local hospital which is leaving me with a lot of free time on my hands and want to give back. I loved working both with the elderly and the disabled and have experienced many moments of personal achievement while working with them. The one moment that really stands out for me was when I took a group of children with developmentally disabilities camping. The joy that they experienced from that trip will always warm my heart. I have recently joined a group called I Run 4 Michael which is a running group for developmentally disabled children which both rewarding for them and me personally. I am an avid runner and the joy that this group brings to the children, their parents and the runners themselves is so rewarding. My father was recently put into a nursing home for a short period of time which was a real eye opener for me. I had forgotten what a lonely place those could be for so many. My heart went out to those residence who appeared to have no one that would come visit them. I found myself not only being there for my father but for other residence. I am a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ. I am a Texan born and raised, but been in Colorado for 13 years. I am empathetic, and very aware. I love the older generation and treat them with great respect. I love to make a difference in a stage of life that has to be hard to go through, I want to make things easier and more of a joy for the people I am caring for. I became a Caregiver because I love to help others. I love working with the elderly and those who need help with daily living activities. I am going to school to become a RN and this is a good opportunity to get experience in health care. I do not yet have any experience working as a caregiver. I recently received my CNA license in December. I currently work as Shift Supervisor for KFC. I have been working there a little over a year. My duties there include supervising team members and making sure their job is being done, managing money and inventory, making sure food is fresh and ready fast, and making sure our customers are satisfied with their visit. I am always on time and ready to work. I work in a fast pace environment and do well under pressure. I work well with others and can work in any environment. Though a job is easier with no change, I am very flexible witch scheduling and sudden change.

I became a caregiver because of the joy I have in helping others. I love to be able to give back to someone else by either helping out with their needs or simply providing companionship. I absolutely love this job and wish to always do it even as a side job for the rest of my life. I love the relationships I have built with past clients and have a special place in my heart for each and everyone. I am almost 20 years old with a 6 month old son and a husband who serves in the U.S. Army. I am currently attending Pima to become a medical assistant and pursue my career in the healthcare area.
