It makes me feel good to be able to bring some joy into someone else's life. It is important to keep a positive and supportive attitude.

This is my calling I love helping people I general good and bad no matter how bad my day is going someone else's happiness and health is important to me. I always go above and beyond on any job I perform my goal is to run a homeless shelter for women (currently in the midst of starting my own cleaning business) I'm charismatic, I love reading, fishing and just enjoying life to it's full potential. Hi my name is Ericka I am 27 years old I have been doing caregiving for going on 7 years now I start young do to my grandmother becoming ill and having to be there for her. I became a care giver after my mother was diagnosed with moderate memory loss-dementia. I found out that help is not hard to find but good help that cares is very hard to find.What I liked about caregiving is the fact that I can wake up everyday to strive towards making sure that the client I am working with knows without a doubt in their heart that I am there for them. I want try to instill hope make a difference in their lives, even if its just to see a smile or blink of an eye. I was able to help my mother to continue to live in her home by getting two care givers,a security and surveillance monitoring system for me to monitor her from my home. I care about the human condition. It does not matter who it is, what disease diagnoses they have, are what they have done are gone through in the past. I have worked with special needs children and adults for meany of years . I have always wanted to work with the elderly so in the mean time I was doing elderly and special needs. So I have a soft spot for them . I enjoy making conversation going out shopping . Trying to get a families loved ones more involved and help them get connected. It won't happen over night but it will slowly happen. It's a matter of time. I have a tendesy to treat my clients as if they are my family. It's better that way. I have about 8 years of experience and I am hoping for more years to come.
