My grandma was sick and I had to watch my parents take care of her, then I started helping her! From then on I knew my purpose was for me to help. I enjoy being who they need! I'm proud that I strive to be a better person every day.

Hi, my name is Malaka. I've been a caregiver/cna/ healthcare manager for 20 plus years. I have a very caring and giving personality. I've always had a nurturing spirit since childhood. After becoming a caregiver I knew it was something I would do forever. It literally brightens my day and warms my heart to be able to contribute to the wellbeing of others. I would say my biggest achievement is becoming a homeowner.

I decided to become a caregiver through my own personal experiences. I have a passion to help and care for others and I chose to get in to the medical field for this very reason. From the time I was a small child I watched my aunt take care of my cousin who was born with Cerebral Palsy and needed constant care. My aunt even went to school and got her RN license just to stay home with my cousin and take care of her. She inspired me in so many ways. Its very hard work but at the end of the day when you are tired and done and they are smiling and happy it is all worth it. Today it is very hard to find good caregivers. I sadly have had first hand experience with this. My grandfather passed away due to negligence with poor care. I put my heart and soul in to everything I do with my patients because to me they are not just patients they are human beings who no matter what condition they are in deserve good care and attention like you would give to your own family, they become apart of your family. I want to make a difference, to be the reason people can entrust in the healthcare system again and that is why I will always do my best and above and beyond that when it comes to care giving. I believe this shows in the work I have done in the medical field since I have been out of school. I graduated with honors from medical school with 3 certifications and went on to work in the field where I put my all in to everything I did. I loved all of my patients and all of my patients loved me.

I am ambitious , helpful, caring. I put the patients needs as first priority. I have a disabled granddaughter and i tend to take care of her from time to time. I love helping people in need. I must enjoy the personal satisfaction of seeing a person in need happy. I just recently completed school and received my Associate degree.

I started in 9th grade as a volunteer where my mom worked and did those things for two years and when i got out of high school I went to school for my CMT so I can distribute medication and then got my CPR and first aid. My mom inspired me to become an nurse. As I was growing up I always when to the hospitals and facilities she worked at.

I am a very outgoing and caring person. I enjoy helping others and making others smile by spreading positivity. I find the good in things that others may not. My mother was a caregiver for as long as i can remember as a child. She is the reason i chose to make a career in patient care. I am proud of achieving my associates and now completing my bachelors, and then on to my masters. I plan on caring for others in need as long as there is someone who needs care.
