I absolutely love elders they are so adorable and sweet and kind and i just love being around them and helping them when they cant do things on they own. I have been caregiving for nine years I have had the pleasure of working with some very wonderful clients with a wide range of various needs both Physical and mental. I attended a local college and received an EMT degree and had the privilege of working on an ambulance for about two years voluntarily. Compassionate and understanding. The way I look at caring for someone is how I would want my own grandma or mom to be treated and I take that with me everyday. I also remember that God is and was loving and compassionate and wants us to be as well. I've worked as a dietary Aide in an assisted living facility and I loved interacting with the elderly, so I applied to be a caregiver and I'm glad I did. What I love most is being a companion. Sometimes all seniors need is someone to talk to and spend time with and I love that I get to learn about their life and family. I am an 18 year old Female who is in the final weeks of the CNA program. After the CNA program I plan to attend Parkland College for an associates degree in Nursing from there I plan to attend EIU to progressively work on my PhD in nursing. Hello I'm Candice, I'm amazing caregiver that loves my career with a passion. My interest in the medical field started when I was very young. My grandmother was my first patient, I enjoyed many mornings helping make her breakfast or helping her get dressed and ready for her day to day life before she passed away. After she passed away I started volunteering in daycares until I finally decided to get certified to be a caregiver. I'm looking into returning to school at College of America to obtain my RN degree in order to further my education as well as career.I'm also a proud mother. I enjoy raising in my children in my free time. Hi, my name is Chynna. I am 26 years old. I have now been a CNA for 2+years. I decided to become a cargiver when my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. I would always find myself helping her by cooking, bathing, cleaning, because it was now my turn to let me take care of her. I enjoy being a cargiver because it's a good feeling to know that you are able to help those who need help that want to live at home and not in a nursing home or anywhere else.

I became a caregiver because when I was 12 years old my cousin got hit by a car and he was (back then in the 70's) was brain damaged and called retarded. So because his mom worked his siblings (my cousins) and my siblings use to take care of him. I enjoyed taking care of my cousin and making sure he had everything he needed and watching a smile come upon his face everytime we did something to make him happy within himself. What I like about being a caregiver is seeing the smiles on my clients faces after having an awesome great day or seeing them do something that they didn't think they could do. Also knowing my worth and input that I had in putting that smile on there face. A personal achievement I am proud of is being able to help others who are in need of help and watching them grow in their environment to be able to be independent and happy. I am a very passionate person and I get great joy out of pleasing others and watching them smile.
