I have been in Healthcare over 30yrs. I started college majoring in Nursing. I became a nursing assistant while in nursing School. I have worked in the hospital in all areas orthopedics, ICU, emergency Department just to name a few. I worked over 20yrs as a home health and a hospice home health assistant. I have a state certification as a Nursing Assistant and Patient Care Tech. I enjoy helping people My mother was a nurse my personal achievement that I am proud of is helping someone who can't help there self. I have a degree in business but, I always find satisfaction working with patients and there families. I always leave my patients with a smile on there face that makes my day.

I became a caregiver because I love taking care of people I have a pure and kind heart that is full of love. What I love about being a caregiver is being able to help those who can't physically help themselves. I love comforting people and being a listener the older people. A personal achievement I am proud of is being able to complete and finish my training in medical assistant. I also have a college degree in early childhood education from Richard Daley College which is one of my most proudest moments. About me, I am someone who is very easy going. I think I was put on this earth to help children and older people. It has always been a passion of mines since I was younger. I love who I am and I love who I'm becoming.

In 1998 my aunt, who was 89yrs, suffered undiagnosed Alzheimer and dementia and why she was in that crises, I was her caregiver. I was her caregiver because I care for her, showed her kindness, passion and was patient with her to understand she was not herself. Then I was interested to find out the reason for her current status so I became a CNA. I have a passion for putting others first. Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. In essence, it’s about making small changes to everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disease . Seeing the care and love that shapes it - provokes me to help them feel comfortable. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people. I love meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. I also enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference in their lives.
