Hello all! I have over 10 years of experience as a HHA/Direct Care Specialist. I am currently a student at WCC working on my Healthcare Preparations Certificate. I am planning on applying for the Nursing program at the institution for the winter session. I work part-time at an assisted living facility. I love helping anyone in need, I always have. I have a special affinity to the elderly and children because I know they are usually the most abused/neglected age groups. I put the needs of my residents first and care for them as if they were my own family.

I have been in the healthcare field for over 15 years, my grandma was a nurse at U of M for 45 years. I remember as I child I wanted to be just like her. I love helping others it is my passion, but I believe it is just as important as well to promote independence at the same time. I am pet friendly, I am a mother of a beautiful 5yr old daughter. And I will always go above and beyond for your loved one.

I am an 19 turning 20 year old student attending wcc. I'm trust worthy, structured, and receptive. I've been doing caregiving since I was 16 years old so I have 4 year experience with almost everything. I enjoy doing caregiving because since I've joined this field I've encountered a lot of wise people and had humbling experience. I'm also looking to get into the medical field (nursing) so I think this is a great opportunity and experience that I would need to pursue this field of work.

I work in the caregiving for four years 2023 I became interested when my mother had a stroke and it paralyzed her a little bit on the left side so me and my siblings teamed up and we helped her we help with the exercise we made sure that she got back and forth to the doctor's appointment we cooked for and now today she is able to use her left side not like she used to but she's able to go on the home and cook after that I figure I could be a great help to someone else
