Hello all! I have over 10 years of experience as a HHA/Direct Care Specialist. I am currently a student at WCC working on my Healthcare Preparations Certificate. I am planning on applying for the Nursing program at the institution for the winter session. I work part-time at an assisted living facility. I love helping anyone in need, I always have. I have a special affinity to the elderly and children because I know they are usually the most abused/neglected age groups. I put the needs of my residents first and care for them as if they were my own family.

I have been in the healthcare field for over 15 years, my grandma was a nurse at U of M for 45 years. I remember as I child I wanted to be just like her. I love helping others it is my passion, but I believe it is just as important as well to promote independence at the same time. I am pet friendly, I am a mother of a beautiful 5yr old daughter. And I will always go above and beyond for your loved one.

Those pure conversations help shape my own perspective of life. I am a young free spirited individual. In my spare time I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen (preferably baking), watching movies (funny ones of course), journaling, and most of all traveling. I have made my way to twenty-two out of all fifty states. I have hopes of visiting each one then venturing out further once I have reached my goal. Traveling is one of my most proud achievements thus far in my life. It may sound a bit odd, but I truly believe that you can learn more from other people and cultures than you can from yourself. I have learned so much along my journey and have met so many amazing people in the process.
