I have CPR and First Aid certified. I have other certificates such as medication, PCA and tova just to name a few. My personality traits that makes me a great caregiver is, Compassionate and Patience. I believe the people I care for, are my extended family and I treat them as my grand parents and close loved ones. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is, helping those that can no longer help themselves and allowing them a sense of independence at the same time. My name is Angela and I've been caring for seniors for almost 4 years now. I started out working with family and then moved into assisted living and memory care. I've got a special place in my heart for alzheimers/dementia care patients. I am currently in school for Healthcare Administration, I plan to continue my career in healthcare for many years.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I love working in the senior care field because it is very rewarding. There is so much satisfaction in knowing I am able to enrich the lives of our older generation. I hold the relationships I build with clients very dearly and always strive to provide quality care with compassion. After 7 years of work as a caregiver, I am currently completing schooling to become a CNA. I am excited to soon have the ability to provide even more care for my clients.

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a Mommy to a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old little boy. I worked for 4 years in Nursing home and also did some in home health care! I received my license in SC and since have relocated to FL. I earned my CNA through York Technical College. I am currently an online student at SNHU and my focus is Psychology. I am a hard worker. I am also very caring and have experience in this field although it has been a few years since I worked in this type of work setting. When I worked in the Nursing home my wing was the Dementia wing. I'm a friendly person who loves working and helping others. I enjoy helping people with their everyday needs in the comfort of their homes because it's rewarding knowing what I do for my clients make a real difference for each of my clients. I have always enjoyed taking care of people every since I was young. My father was 100 percent disabled from the Vietnam War, and he had many medical issues in which I helped him with on a daily basis. Unfortunately, he pasted away from cancer in 2012, but I know taking care of him for many years helped him in many different ways. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing I'm making a difference in someone's life. Knowing because of me my client is able to stay in their homes and still try to live a normal life. I also enjoy not only being a caregiver but a friend and maybe even a part of their family. Many clients I have had in the past I still communicate with and it makes me happy. The achievement that I'm proud about is becoming a certified HHA because I can now take the personal experience I have learned with my father, and the experience I learned being an aide for a the companies I was employed at and use that to help other people in need.

I love and respect the elderly. I have a great deal of patience as it applies to assisting them with their daily necessities. In addition, I have experience working with seniors with Dementia.

Some qualities about me that make me a great caregiver is that I am patient, laid back, a good listener, I am compassionate but will encourage for the client to be as vibrant and have as much as a zeal for life as possible. My mother had a stroke back in 2006. I became a caregiver and have been her caregiver for 14 years. It's not a job I chose but I have become inspired to stay in the field and help others as best as I can. I enjoy seeing the client healthy and happy. When my client is smiling, that's when I know I've done my job. I have no awards or certificates, but I am generally proud of the work that I have done with my mother over the years.

I know I would be an excellent caregiver because I am kind, patient, nurturing, and as a diabetic myself, I can relate to those who need to be taken care of or who simply need someone who can relate to them. I want to become a caregiver because at one point in my life I wanted to join the army. Due to my pre-existing condition I was denied. I wanted to take care of my country but if I can't do that, I'd like to make a difference in someone else's life. In becoming a caregiver, I can learn new things, acquire life advice from the individual in question, and I can grow with said individual. Becoming a caregiver will give me a sense of purpose.

In person directed care, individual choice directs lifestyle, care, systems and daily routine.

I am a very loving and caring individual who would give the shirt off of her back to the others. I would be a great caregiver because I have empathy, patience, and good communication skills.
