I think I'm a great caregiver because I'm passionate about it and I love helping others. I feel it's very rewarding. I have knowledge in nursing and caring for others. The attraction I have for being a caregiver is the friendships and bonding you get with others. I enjoy most about caregiving is helping others and spending time listening to story's and companionship. I am proud of being a college graduate and also proud of myself for getting a CNA license in 2016. It has expired but it was a good accomplishment.

I'm the happiest when I'm helping people, and when it's my job to help people I enjoy it a lot. I enjoy preparing food, showering them, and just talking. I'm trying to go back to school and be a nurse so I can help them more than just showering or cooking meals. Just helping someone makes my day better

The thing that attracted me most to caregiving is basically it's in the name caring. I had a rough childhood and pretty much all the way up until my late teens so I know what it feels like to not have someone there to care for you and that's why it brings me great comfort and joy knowing that my presence in someone's life is gonna make a difference and not only that it's going to benefit their well-being

I'm very genuine and energetic! I can start up a conversation very easily about almost anything. What started me as a caregiver is losing my parents at a young age. I treat every elderly person as if they were my parents. I would do the the same for my parents if they were still alive. I'm proud at achieving the mark I leave with every family that I have ever worked for. They will always remember me.

I became a caregiver because I liked the direct, daily involvement in caring for the elderly. I want the elderly to know that to me you have value and purpose. The challenges of day-to-day effort to improve the client's quality of life makes the work interesting to me. It makes me have to change to meet their needs. This results in me being a better caregiver and a better person. I love the fact I help this person to live out the rest of their life with dignity, making sure they can be given the best care every day, and not left behind by the world.

Married mother of one, currently in school to become a Medical Assistant. 16 yrs experience in this field as well as care in nursing home setting. Former CNA and have experience with working with patients with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Worked closely with people with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues. I have no issues with personal care as in bathing and toileting. As a caregiver the most rewarding part of the job is knowing I made someone's day, weather it be companionship or making their favorite dish. Oh, and a bonus, I knw my way around a kitchen!

i became a caregiver because i grew up aspiring to be a doctor, both of my parents are both nurses and i saw CNA as a starting point to gain hands on experience, working with various clients, and while in pursuit of my ultimate goal. I am independent, outgoing and have a reliable transportation. I have been a Caregiver, Home Health Aid, Resident Care Provider in the Texas areas of Midland, San Antonio and San Angelo, TX 17 yrs all together. I went to The Academy Medical School in Las Vegas, NV. I also do housing keeping as well if you only needed your apartment or house well cleaned I'm here to provide that service as well.

I opened my home childcare business after my second child was born. I quickly realized I had discovered my passion so I tried my hand at Senior care. I lost both my parents at an early age and wanted to include seniors in my circle so I worked 4 years part- time as a caregiver for a non-medical Senior Care company. I was later promoted to a full-time position as the evening Staffing Coordinator. In this position I assessed the needs of seniors, paired them with caregivers and managed their schedules. I loved helping families find solutions to the care needs of their loved ones. What I like most about care giving is knowing that what I do directly impacts my clients quality of life. It is gratifying to help the elderly remain independent. I love to listen to their life stories and to know that I am helping them maintain their dignity. I want my clients to see aging as a blessing because I believe that a long life is a gift to be celebrated. If I can bring joy into the life of a senior then I have answered my calling. I am personally proud of growing my childcare business from 2 to 14 children based on word of mouth marketing. It started as a way to be home with my own two children and morphed into a thriving business that sustained my family over a twelve year period. I realized that a corporate career was no longer for me. I am a caregiver at heart and plan to spend the rest of my career serving the Senior population.

I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others who were going through life changes and needed care, love and assistance. I believe all individuals deserve a high level of care. Taking care of someone gives me an opportunity to serve. I am proud of the fact that I have learnt to swim as an adult. I love to read and I write poetry.

One of the most important things that I think I've accomplished in my life, is to be able to help with rebuilding the old Sterling city depot into a senior citizen center. And then running that center for 20 years. I enjoyed the work I enjoyed the people I worked with it made me feel good to go home at night knowing that they were taken care of and I never hesitated if they called to go see what their needs were. It is a quite sad, yet interesting reason I decided to become a Caregiver. I lost my grandmother back in February of this year (2014), about 2 weeks before my 23rd birthday. Not only did it break my heart, but I knew the month of February (and my life) would never be the same again. And ever since then, I have been feeling somewhat incomplete… Like I let her down because I didn't really spend much time with her because I was so "busy." In addition to that, I also felt like something was missing in me. It wasn't until I became a Professional Teller at a bank and was forced to push financial "solutions" (credit cards, mortgages, auto loans, etc.) onto unsuspecting elders, that I knew I had a greater calling. Because that could've easily been my grandmother in those young persons' shoes if she were still alive. So on August 21, 2014; I turned in my letter of resignation and decided to use my kind heart and services for good. And I must say that I have never felt more proud. I also believe that my grandmother is looking down on me smiling. I was her grand baby, Dionte McFadden and I always will be.
