I absolutely love being a caregiver. My passion and life is to help other people and support them during difficult times. I am an experienced caregiver and worked at the Denton State Supported Living Center for 8 years. I believe in dignity and respect in every position. I will treat you or your family member as my own. I have a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Studies and Psychology.

My goal is to provide care for you or your loved-one with skill, experience and warmth. I have 25 years of experience giving care to all age groups, but have a special preference for caring for our elders. I value and respect that every client is unique and has his/her own personal preferences and needs. My approach is low-key and I welcome direction from the client and family while offering suggestions when appropriate. I understand the patience and dedication it requires to build the bond of trust, but this bond is essential to giving good care.

The reason I believe I would be a great care giver is because most of my life I have lived with my elderly grandparents who I had to take care of which makes this job feel more normal for me. What attracted me is that I had no option when I was younger but now that i do this is the only job for me. I enjoy the lessons you can learn from your elders they have a lot to teach but a lot of people do not want to listen. My most proud achievement as a care giver was seeing that even though they were not in the best state of their lives I was able to make them enjoy themselves.

My care giving career actually started as a teenager volunteering in a nursing home. I didn't realize it at the time, but that experience made a big impact. I think the thing that drew me was caring for the people. I think what makes a great caregiver is someone who is empathetic and has the heart for caring for someone else. Someone who wants to make a difference in someone's life. I discovered that there is an art to caregiving. It is something that I have satisfaction from. I have been a professional caregiver for 3 years now. I have worked with a couple of local agencies during that time. I have completed 1 year of nursing school. I am available during the day. Usually 6a to 2p, or 7a to 3p Mon - Fri. Some weekends as needed. Feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance.

The majority of my caregiving experience comes from caring for my mother who had Parkinson's disease. I learned how to navigate her daily needs and coordinate care across multiple providers. More recently I have caregiving experience with post surgery care and advanced dementia. I appreciate the unique relationship that develops between caregiver and client and strive to provide compassionate and individualized care.

I am a caregiver by nature. I am married with four children who are older now, so caregiving has been a daily routine for most of my life. My personality is designed for caregiving. I'm dependable, flexible, responsible, and patient. In my years as a parent and a probation officer, I also learned to actively listen and help people best focus on doing what is best for them in a gentle and patient manner. I think working with someone who needs help appeals to me because it will allow them freedom to continue to actively live their lives. I have seen the value this adds with several elderly members of my family.

I have A desire to help people. I am empathetic and hardworking. I do My best to look out for others and I do Have experience in caregiving! I inspire to make someone's day and ensure that I can make someone's day go a little smoother.

I am a compassionate, kind, intelligent caregiver. My 91 y/o mother introduced me to caregiving with the elderly at an early age. At the tender age of 14 y/o, I began care sitting with an elderly neighbor. We would watch TV together, talk, and have snacks together. My Mother also took me to visit individuals in nursing homes and in the elderly in their own homes. We would visit on a regular basis to provide companionship and care. What I enjoy most about caregiving is listening to the stories told by my clients and hearing them talk about their current events. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is that I have three college degrees.

I was born to caregive. I'm experienced, polished and compassionate with an great eye for detail. To be great at what you do, you have to love what you do. I love caring for others.

I believe what would make me a great caregiver is my raw compassion for others. I do everything through love and my purpose in this life is to heal those around me. I am loyal, uplifting, spiritual, down to earth, honest and full of sunshine. I love to share my dreams and stories, and listen to others as well! I have never been employed as a caregiver but have confidence it would be a lovely fit for me. I have graduated from two colleges - I have my bachelors in Hospitality Management and I am a certified Massage Therapist, working on furthering my holistic healing skill. I am a compassionate caregiver who nurtures a heart of service. Growing up, I've always wanted to help people. After volunteering at an assisted living center and a Memory Care Residence, I realized I'd cultivated a passion for working with the elderly. I decided to take a job as a personal care assistant at Kindred at Home, and that passion has stayed with me since. One of the things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know my clients. I love listening to the stories they have and the lessons I learn from them. They lived full and wonderful lives. So I feel the least I can do is assist them in whatever they need to get done.
