Hello and welcome to my page? My name is Erika Arana , I'm 21 years with a CNA certificate. I've been taking care of people for about two and a half years now. I'm a very understandable and helpful person , I've taken care of people whose recovering from injuries , who cant assist alone due to arteries or other reasons and more . I enjoy what I do and my history of doing it explains itself. I personally like making people happy and telling them that they're not alone.

I am a mature and professional home health care worker with over 6 years experience. I decided to become a home health aid after I saw the care and compassion that was given to my grandfather, that experience made me want to help people. I am a great caregiver because I am dedicated and loyal to all of my patients. I am very trustworthy and committed to taking care of all of the patient's needs. I became a caregiver at the age of 18. For 12 years, I have enjoyed taking care of others who are in need. I am very compassionate, and I feel compelled to help people who cannot perform the normal daily tasks that most of us can do with ease. I enjoy helping others because it gives me a sense of achievement that I could help someone in need, and in return receive love and compassion from that person and their family.

I watched my grandma go in and out of hospitals due to her illnesses. From then I decided that I wanted to help people. I've worked home health before with a stroke patient. I am very caring and gentle. I enjoy conversation and giving people a different experience with help and a ver loyal and trustworthy experience. With my last patient I was able to spend lots of quality time with her. Getting her to open up and being apart of her therapy. I helped her with confidence that she would be able to be mobile again and right now this day she's moving her left arm and leg which they told her she couldn't.

I always interact and encourage my clients to improve their daily living activities and these makes them secured having me as a provider. I move at their pace to make them comfortable approaching me for any assistance.

I love working as a caregiver/CNA because I love helping people and the hours are flexible.

I was raised by my grandparents whom both had dementia.When they became ill i took care of them and realized that it was something i enjoyed doing. I enjoy being able to help those whom cant help themselves. I know alot of people choose not to deal with loved ones in those conditions. But its an illness that they cant control its like taking care of a baby all over again. My grandparents use to get physical tried to leave and they didnt really know with was going on because they had lost their memory.But i was always able to redirect them .

I am a college student. I will be graduating Houston community college in the fall of 2019 with an Associate in Arts degree. From there, I will be applying to Houston community colleges registered nurse program in the the fall of 2020. People move at their own pace, and each person deserves respect.
