Hello, I'm Summer. I'm currently working in the hospitality industry as a server. I'm also going to the University of Houston as well. I have always had a passion for helping and serving people. I love to go over and beyond to help someone or to make them feel good. I've had experience as a caregiver previously and understand what it takes to get the job done. I love being a caregiver because it makes me feel that I'm giving back, and supporting to my elders.

I am dependable, hardworking,,and compassionate with great love for the elderly..I spent many years taking care of my grandparents who raised me. I assisted with errands, making doctor and dentist appointments, cooking , cleaning, and companionship. I also helped with medicine reminders and mobility. One personal achievement Is that I was able to take care of grandparents, my mother with dementia, and my elderly aunt.

I became a professional caregiver after taking care of my mom for 10 years before she passed away and have been in the non medical home health industry for over 15 years. I have experience with hospice patients, colostomy patients, Alzheimer's and dementia, stroke patients, bed bound patients, those with feeding tubes and catheters, Parkinson's disease to name a few. One family even told me that had I not been their loved one's caregiver he would not have lived to see his birthday! He was a 9o year old hospice patient! What I like best about being a caregiver is providing companionship to the elderly and giving them something to smile about and want to continue living!

I've always been a caring person my family is full of nurses, nurse practitioners and cna's so I guess it's embedded into my genes to take care of those who are in need. I enjoy home health the most because it's personal. They get the attention they deserve, the patience they need to continue to progress, the kindness that's needed to know that someone is there for them, and the love. Each person I've worked with has become part of my family. And that's something that will never change in my book.

I offer my help in order to improve my client's sense of well-being. This means that whatever I do should empower the person I'm helping to do what makes them feel worthwhile. If I help too much, my client misses out on using muscles they need to be used to stay self-sufficient. If I help too little, my client feels stymied by their circumstances. I am inspired by and enjoy seeing people heal and function at their personal best. This sense of reward motivates my staying present while caregiving.

I had a wonderful opportunity to be a companion for a ninety year old woman. I enjoyed cooking for her, running errands, ect.I think I added to her quality of life and I know she added to mine. I would like the opportunity to do it again. I'm a sweet, funny, loving person. I also am an excellent chef. I have high standards and give100%.

What inspired me to become a caregiver was my deep-rooted passion for helping others--especially those facing challenges or in need of support. One of the proudest and happiest moments of my life was walking across the graduation stage in December, with my children and father cheering me on. I am a women's Collegiate Basketball Official. I have great listening skills, extremely patient, very loyal, compassionate, on time and pay attention to detail. I am a very good driver and I truly enjoy providing excellent service to the client. I began caregiving about 8 years ago. I lived in with my former supervisor and his wife. I enjoyed it so much I later took a CNA class and was certified. One personal achievement I am proud of is I am in the Hall of Fame for Basketball at Paris Junior College

I love Seniors and I enjoy helping them because they are limited physically or otherwise and deserve support. In most cases they've looked after children and spouses for a good portion of their own lives. They deserve to be dignified and treated well in their older years. I am by nature a loving person with great compassion. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is making clients as comfortable and happy as possible as they cope with certain health conditions. I have established great relationships with my clients and they enjoy me providing care to them.

I'm experienced in care giving because of my own personal experience with my great grandmother and grandmother. I am currently a medical anthropology student so I'm well versed in biology and can recognize important behavioral traits that may indicate larger problems. I'm currently looking at caregiving as a job because I enjoy being a helping hand. I can't change the world but I can at least make someone's day better. I am not a specialized caretaker. I can cook, clean, keep a schedule for medications, be a source of transportation, and be a companion throughout the day. I am a painter (water and acrylic) and classical musician (flute). Part of my associates degree from Lee College in Baytown was to help others learn how to draw and paint. I speak English only.

A personality trait that allow me to be a great caregiver is that, I am detailed oriented and enjoy the little things that create the bigger picture. I was attracted to being a caregiver so that I could take care of my grandparents. The most enjoyable aspect of cargiveing is to be able to know that I have helped my clients at the same time providing a better quality of life. A personal achievement I'm most proud of is being able take care of my grandparents as they are getting older.

I am kind and compassionate caregiver that always seeks to meet the needs of all patients. What has drawn me to be a caregiver is a passion for helping people and meeting them where they're at. My proudest moments as a caregiver came when I was able to support someone in accomplishing their goals.

I'm patient, compassionate and trustworthy. I've enjoyed helping others for as long as I can remember. When I was 16 years old, my grandfather was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He required around the clock care after his surgery. I cared for him when my mom and grandmother had to go to appointments. I get joy helping people who need help. The most important quality I have as a caregiver is a great sense of humor. Being able to laugh at myself and show others how to not take life so seriously is my best quality. I'm most proud of helping my daughter turn her life around. She failed her entire freshman year of high school and was expelled 3 days before the school year ended. Two years later, she's an honor roll student at a charter school on track to graduate with the class of 2025. She has a 97% chance of getting accepted to her dream college and pursuing a career as a pharmacist. I earned my bachelors degree from the University of Houston at 21 years old thanks to the love, support and guidance from my mother and I want to do the same for my daughter.

I worked in the medical industry ever since I was 17 year old after HS graduation. I was hired by a hospital named CHI St. Lukes Health and worked in the Neurology department. I learned so much from nurses and doctor's about the many diagnoses and diseases that can affect our central and nervous system. I gained many beautiful and tough experiences, it made me be a great caregiver to those in need of help. I can say my personality is friendly, bubbly, loving, very caring, I'm a team player and just like to make sure others are taken care of. Being the oldest out of 3, I think that's always been a nurture gift. My personal achievement is to always make sure others are comforatble and well taken care of as I put myself in the position of others if they needed help I would want someone to do the same for me in the future.
