Hello , I am a young college graduate looking to peruse giaratric nursing . I have worked as a senior care giver and really love making diffence in people's lives . I have many years of experience that have equipped me with knowledge to carefully handle any situation . I enjoy care giving because it allows me to use all my skills to make a difference in someone's life. I'm proud to say I have graduated college and look forward to using my skills in a professional setting !

I'm a sympathetic and empathetic person. I've always loved working with children and elderly from a young age. When I was in elementary school I use to be apart of a club that went to a nursing home once a week. We provided companionship for them. I've always been drawn to helping/caring for others. I've had several different nannying jobs on top of daycare jobs. But I've also always wanted to get involved with working with elderly again. From 2009-2012 I helped my family care for my very sick grandmother on and off. Until 2011 I lived out of state, but when I came back was when I was able to help more. My grandmother fought stage 4 ovarian cancer from May 2009 until she passed in November 2012. So, I'm used to being around someone sick and helping them out with something as simple as cleaning. Back when she still lived on her own I'd go over to her house at least twice a week to help with cleaning, cooking , watering her plants, or even gives keeping her company. Once she got too ill to live alone, she came to live with my family and I for a good 6 months. So, providing care for her became a daily part of my routine. I've always been attracted to being some sort of caregiver. It is truly my life passion to help others. I enjoy getting to know the people, knowing I can help make their day or even bring a little light back into their life by helping them or providing companionship.

I am retired after 30 years of working as a Speech/Language Pathologist with experience in the schools and clinics. I completed cancer treatment (Jan 2022) for a rare blood disease called Waldenstrom. I have worked with a variety of ages, types and populations of general and special education. I provide care for my mother who is independent but aging. I enjoy travelling, animals and walking and swimming. I continue to wear a mask and have received 5 Co-Vid 19 vaccines.

A pre-nursing student looking to one day go into labor and delivery, but for now loves taking care of adults and the elderly. A great listener who is highly organized and passionate about healthy living.

My motivation and experince come from caring for my own grandmother. My name is Kali Benton and I'm a Southeast Texas native with a passion for patient care. I completed my nursing pre-requisites at Texas Tech University and am currently enrolled in the nursing program at Lamar State College-Orange where I will graduate August 2020. Throughout the nursing program, I have gained many hours of clinical experience in several nursing homes throughout our community. Aside from long-term care facilities, I have also gained experience on the Med-Surg floor at Christus. I am currently looking for a position that will work around my school schedule. Though I have class/clinicals 6AM-3:30PM M-F, I am available each evening and have open availability on weekends. I am confident in my ability to take care of your loved one and treat them as my own. While doing clinical rotations in Long-Term Care facilities, I gained experience in working with patients who struggled with Incontinence, Immobility/Limited mobility, Alzheimer's/Dementia, Parkinson's, as well as other illnesses.

My favorite part about being a caregiver is seeing the joy that I can bring into their lives when they see me and knowing that someone genuinely cares for them.

Growing up I have always loved being surrounded by people. Every Sunday I would stop by my great-grandparents house to spend time with them. My great-grandmother would teach me about cooking, cleaning and baking while my great-grandfather would tell me every story from his youth. For as long as I can remember, I have lived right next door to my grandparents and my uncle. My uncle has disabilities that prevent him from living alone, so I would often spend time with my dad, his caregiver, helping him and playing games with him. I enjoy learning new things, hearing stories from others, cooking and being around people. Watching my father devote his life to taking care of our family sparked this interest in me.

What makes me a great caregiver is I am patient, loyal, and reliable when it comes to my patients. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I like to take pride in my attention to detail. I am seeking a career with growing opportunities

Hi there, I am a sophomore at Texas State studying to become an RN. I am very passionate about the medical field and helping others in need.

I am on my last semester of university, and I will be the first person in my family to graduate college. I love science, but my hobbies include crocheting, gardening, and playing with my dog! I love all kinds of music, and I try to be as lively and energetic with everything I do. I became interested in caregiving after I conducted my sister's hospice care and held her hand in her last moments. Here is where I learned how important patience is and how important it is to preserve as much dignity and independence as possible for those you care for.
