I'm very friendly and love elderly people. I'm very helpful when it comes to anybody. I love working with the elderly because it reminds me of my great grandma that passed away last year at the age of 97. I attend Texas State University in San Marcos Texas , where im majoring in social work.

I began my journey of helping others 18 years old when I acquired a license in personal training with a focus on corrective exercise. My college years in kinesiology enhanced my empathy when I spent 100 hours interning at an in-patient rehabilitation facility where the focused population were those who sufferedTBI, joint replacement and neurological disorders. Later, through my honor society, the volunteer time I chose was split between tutoring STEM to 8th grade students in underprivileged communities (Austin Partners in Education) and organizing games and activities at an adult day care (AGE of Central Texas) where families took their loved ones who needed a little extra help dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's while they were at work during the day. Simultaneously juggling these humbling populations - those tryin to find self identity and those trying to maintain their sense of self identity really helped balance my own ego, instilling a life long humility and a sense of being a servant leader to those around me. I finished my studies at Texas State University with a major in Exercise Physiology and a minor in math. Since then I have continued to serve others where I have honed my skills in helping those achieve better quality of life through functional movement creating individualized programs combining clinical massage and corrective exercise. To conclude, I am a well rounded, loving and caring person who enjoys helping others find balance their quality of life with the aught most attention to safety in application.

I have enjoyed being a SR Caregiver for 24 years. I love hearing the stories about their lives. It's heartwarming to know I get to share in the lives of the precious people that put their trust in me to care for them in their elder years. It's my joy to bring encouragement and assistance to my Sr's. I am a happy & upbeat gal with a lot of patience, compassion & empathy! Being a Caregiver is who I am. I Love Caregiving & find it very fulfilling to be with my Seniors!

I have great compassion for the elderly. And I love spending time with them. So much so, that I was a Hospice volunteer for 15 yrs before becoming a paid caregiver. I am trustworthy and dependable and a great driver, if needed. I am also a non-smoker.

I believe that I would be a great caregiver because rather than just view this as a job, I want to learn and to know and understand the person. Also, I genuinely like to help people and make sure that everyone is treated the same and is given the same amount of care and consideration. I believe that my patience and kindness are my most helpful traits because regardless of the persona age I truly just want the best for everyone and want them to be comfortable not only with me personally but to be sure that I can provide them with a sense of security.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I really take the time to listen to my patients and get to know them so we can have a trusting relationship. I make sure I am knowledge on the patient so I will know what to expect or how to handle a situation. One of the best things I like to tell people when they ask why I want to do this is because I always have the BEST conversations with my patients and build the best relationships. I am also vaccinated and CPR certified.

I'm caring and patient and I'm looking forward to a future in healthcare and learning the in ands out of caregiving would give me skills to be a great nurse.

I have cared for members of my own family and other people's families, and I absolutely love being able to put a smile on someone's face by simply doing my job. My name is Tina and I think one of my greatest strengths is working with people. I love to talk and get to know people. I am an Army Brat and have been around military for most of my life. I work at UT Austin Applied Research Labs on a part-time basis. I retired from The University of Texas at Austin October '23 and am now working 19 hours as a Retiree with TRS. My hours are usually 10-2 Monday thru Wednesday. I love dogs and have three of them. They live with my husband in Seguin where we have a house. I live in Georgetown during the week mostly so that I can continue working in Austin and Georgetown. Another fun fact about me is that my parents are from Sicily, Italy. I love to listen to Italian and I'm only a tiny bit fluent. My dream is to visit Sicily and see family there.

I will soon be graduating college, and am looking for a job that I will enjoy doing between the time I graduate, and attend graduate school to become an Occupational Therapist.
