I am a very loving and happy person. I believe that my main goal in life is to help people in need.

I am a registered CNA, and have been in the nursing home setting helping with ADL's, showering, changing beds, etc. Ive always had a passion for helping people, its such a rewarding job. The relationships you make is the most enjoyable thing about caregiving, I love talking to the patients about their life and what not. Passing my CNA test has been an achievement I am most proud of.

I am a college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical science and for as long as I can remember I have been taking care of someone. Being able bodied and helping someone who needs me is one of the greatest feelings I've ever known. Whether it is simply preparing a meal, drawing up a bath or giving one, at the end of each day I feel proud that I can give someone my time. Caregiving is more than a job, it is a sense of accomplishment. Accomplishment in knowing that you helped someone do something that they could not do on their own. When I was in college I worked with special needs adults who had mental illnesses, physical illnesses, such as, Multiple sclerosis, paralysis, Autism, dementia, bipolar disorder and many others. This is not a position I would recommend for just anyone. It was hard and I worked long hours but I woke up every day knowing that they depended on me to pass their medications, make their breakfast, lunch and dinner, help them with personal hygiene, and take them to their appointments and in some cases to their jobs. This job in particular opened my eyes to the real world in the sense that my problems were miniscule in comparison with the things that these people were going through. This is the reason that I chose to become a biomedical science major and eventually apply for medical school. As a Child of God, true happiness is being a servant of the Lord by blessing others with love and kindness, giving my all, just looking for a glimmer shinning in their eyes or a simple thank you. Often told my personality brings a ray of sunshine and spark of laughter that tends to ease a heavy tired heart. My experience has been enlightening and delightful because I've had the privilege to care for several members of my family and friends. I've cared for those whom have had a knee, back, shoulder, hip, pelvic & ankle injuries & post-surgery. Assisted with cancer patients. Personal hygiene. Transportation. Shopping. Housework. Maintenance. Paying bills & balancing checkbook. Animal care. Administrative. Basically I'm a jack of all by master at none, use common sense, good will or research and ask questions, don't know and I can't are not part of my language. I currently work for Gregory-Portland ISD. I am a SPED aide at T.M. Clark Elementary. Prior to this I worked as a Life Skills aide at Rockport Fulton Middle School. I also worked 3 years as a service provider for a non-verbal, autistic, teenage boy. I did that for close to 3 years. I absolutely loved those years as a provider. I had worked in the school setting for a good while, but decided to pursue my passion outside of the classroom. It was so much fun! During that time as a provider I took that teenage boy out into the community to experience all the fun things we could possibly get ourselves into! We went to parks, malls, the aquarium, swimming, the library, grocery stores, etc. In addition to all the fun things we did, we also did community based instruction. I really found satisfaction in the deeper connection I was able to make. I would like to be able to experience this again! Although I work for the school district, summer is coming up soon and I'd love to offer my services to anyone who could use summer, and/or weekend help! Thank you for the opportunity!!

I have been a care giver for the past 5 years. I love my job because I am needed and appreciated. I have a bachelors degree and could be doing other things but caregiver is the job that suits me. I have a desire to help others.

I have been a caregiver for close to 4 years. I am passionate, patient , understanding, observant. I love to keep the elderly company as I find them so interesting and educative.

I love working with people and caring for them. I enjoy caregiving because I want to do and be the best person I can because the person I'm caring for has family and deserves to be treated as a beautiful person.
