I am currently a nursing student who's is very passionate about helping others and making them feel great and lively. I have been a CNA for 2 years in Iowa and have surely enjoyed my job of caring and loving the elderly.

I became a caregiver in order to help improve life for people in need with respect and dignity, considering cultural background in all ages. Being a caregiver comes with joy and passion for the individuals involved to make them feel wanted within the community. I enjoy helping people. I started working as a caregiver about 5 years ago.I'm currently in school to become an rn and it's all because I love what I do. I'm a great people person but most importantly I'm full of compassion and patience which is why I'm exactly where I need to be professionally.

What make me a good caregiver is the compassion and love that I have for our elders and disabled. I became a caregiver when my oldest sister was diagnosed with Lupus in 1992. I became a caregiver before I knew what one was. I was doing what came natural...I was helping a loved one in need.

Greetings! My name is Ami and I am a single mother to a 4 year old boy named Henry! I feel that I am a great caregiver by having an enormously big heart full of compassion and empathy. I care so deeply for people and their health needs. Compassion and Empathy are two qualities that they don't teach caregivers in school because they simply aren't able to. A person has to have acquired those qualities on their own. I am currently attending Green River College to complete my prerequisites for the Diagnostic Ultrasound Program! Obtaining my CNA certification is a prerequisite for the program but my reason for becoming a caregiver goes beyond that. My grandfather was in a memory care unit due to his Alzheimer's disease. I was able to witness the care that he was given by caregivers and realized that I wanted to provide residents/patients/clients with the same level of care so that I could make a difference in that persons life wether they still had a quality of life left or not. It's never easy losing a family member. And it's not any easier losing a resident that you have cared for as a caregiver. But being able to provide high quality care gives me a sense of positive achievement. What I love most about being a caregiver is getting to know the people that I care for. I treat them each like family and feel like they are my family away from home. A personal achievement that I am proud of is getting a 4.0 GPA in all three CNA courses for my Certificate through Green River College. I was the only student in my class to have received 100% testing score on my Skills Exam. I am looking forward to meeting your family and family member in need of my high quality care! I became a caregiver as the next step towards my nursing degree, and to get some experience in the medical field. I really enjoy working with all ages, disabilities, and people. I just finished my training, and I absolutely loved my clinics. I love getting to know the patients and/or residents, getting to be apart of their happiness and daily lives, and overall just being the reason someone is happier or feels better about themselves. I am very proud of this achievement, as I am not even out of high school yet and am almost half way done with my pre-requisites for my BSN in nursing. (a baccalaureate degree in nursing). I am very excited to start working in the field as a professional, and finding my own path through life. I feel giving other people care with an open mind and heart really makes them feel welcomed into wherever they are, or just more comfortable at home, and I want to be apart of that experience with them.

I have been a caregiver for those with mental and physical handicaps and illnesses for a year now, it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Assisting people so they may have a better quality of life brings me joy and pride, and encouraging people to still make choices and be as independent as possible is a challenge I enjoy. Before caretaking, I was a broadcasting student and spent a few years hosting my own FM talk show, entertaining, planning, and accepting responsibility for helping with concerts and promoting myself. This job taught me how to make the best of every situation, how to entertain and be a friendly companion, and how to be a go getter. I am looking forward to building a care plan, working with your family member, and becoming a lifelong friend and caretaker.

I am a great caregiver because I care for my residents as if they where my mother or father and treat them how I would want my family treated, I create I bond with my residents. My mother has been a nurse for a long time so I grew up in nursing homes and always wanted to be like my mom watching her heal people and be so kind and loving. I have received employee of the quarter at my work this last quarter I am proud of that.
