Hello, my name is Angelica. I've been someone who goes above and beyond for people for as long as I've been able to. I have a kind spirit and making sure people are cared for properly has always been my main focus. It wasnt until highschool that I knew how to get started in a career that allowed me to do that. I've been a volunteer caregiver since 2019 and became certified and paid to do it starting December of 2020. Being as young as I am; I always had little nagging feelings about whether or not I was making an impact in patient's lives. It wasn't until I looked back at all the families I've cared for, as well as started working in a rehab facility, that I realized how much help I provide. I've had patients become emotional and show how grateful they are that I'm able to be so kind, patient, gentle, and humane all while making sure they are being taken care of fully. Hi, I'm Taja I go by TJ. I was a medical assistant And a CNA, I worked with dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I wanted more so I now work with adult with intellectual disabilities as a direct support professional and Supportive living assistant. I am very genuine, goofy, Fun, caring, loving, punctual, adventurous, hard working, and I always go the extra mile. I wanted to be in the medical field ever since I was 6 years old watching my grandmother go through malpractice, neglect, physical abuse and starvation by her Nurses Aide. My Grandfather felt hopeless and killed himself, and my grandmother was still going through it. I kneeled down at age 8 and said " don't worry mama I'm going to become a registered nurse and take care of you myself, we will have a big house and a nice car I promise". She just responded with a "mhmm". She ended up passing away a bit later. After that I kept my same promise for other people because I refuse to let anyone go through what I seen. I treat everyone like family.

My smile , loving heart , compassion for whom I'm caring for , humbleness , patience , understanding , willingness to take control of any situation , honesty , loyalty, humor to keep your spirits up , and most I love God . What attracted me to being a caregiver was when I had to take care my own mother for ten years being bed restricted and my grandparents until they passed away and then I knew there was more in me to give . If Someone asked me to tell them who I am by my life experience, I would have to say I've always been a Caregiver. In fact I really think that God put within me the traits needed to fulfill what my purpose in life would be, to Care for people. Empathy and Compassion for the struggles and needs of people, come from the difficult times I've had throughout my life and gratitude for those who came along to mentor and offer compassion to me. Being a Caregiver has been a natural progression from being a caregiver first to my family... Three of my Grand Parents had Alzheimer's disease, I helped provided care for all three. I have three grown children and five grandchildren, they all live in different states now with their families. When my children were young I operated my own State Licensed Home Daycare for many years. I have been a substitute teacher and teachers aid for grades K-7. I received my Teachers certificate from Moody Bible Institute 1981. I also home schooled my own children for a few years. The final decision to use this passion for people and pursue the training to be a professional caregiver, came at a crisis point in my life when I became the caregiver and legal guardian/conservator for my youngest son who at the age of 24 was hit by a van and was hospitalized for 2 1/2 months for a Traumatic Brain Injury. He was in a coma for a month with two years of rehabilitation after leaving the hospital. Going through that traumatic experience with my son also put me around many other people experiencing life changing events, whom I was able to help by encouraging and giving information I learned along the way. After my son got out of the hospital I went back to school and took training to be a Certified Medical Assistant, I have been using that experience, training and knowledge for the last 7 years as a in home caregiver in MI and FL.

I'm unconditionally kind and consistent with care, It's my passion to help someone in need. I provide a fantastic service to families who have been caring for someone they love ,but who also need's a break to keep up with all the other demands of life.
