I am a caregiver who came from Colombia five years ago. Before I left my country I used to take care of my uncle who was in a coma for over a year. The experience that I had it takes a special person to take care of someone who needs help. Since I've been in USA I've had the opportunity to work with and help many seniors, disabled and terminally ill patients. One year ago I decided to open my own business which offers transportation for the seniors around the Coachella Valley.

I have been a CNA for the past 4 years and I have been enjoying working with the elderly patients. I love taking care of my patients by helping them with everyday chores and by being a great companion.

I think what makes me a good caregiver is that I treat the all my clients with respect and I attend to their needs I like to form a bond with them and treat them as if they were my own family since I spend a lot of time with them I like to get to know each of my clients on a personal level understand and connect with what my client is going through I like to be able to emphasize and I try to put myself in their shoes I try to put my patience at ease for any fears or discomfort that they may have. I am very passionate about my job I love what I do I love just taking care of people in general whatever I can do to help them makes me feel like I've done something important and it gives me satisfaction as well as the feeling of being complete.

What I love most about caregiver is being able to be someone support system & just being there when they need help. Making it easier on them by giving them the love and care they desire.

Hello, My name is Latrinia Hooks. I just recently receive my certification as a CMT along with my CPR/AED/First Aid. Although I don't have as much experience right now I am a dedicated to my new career path an I know I have what it takes to get the job done. I am a very outgoing person who gets along with pretty much everybody. Which is what I wanna do so I can eventually take my career path further into medicine. With the proper training and directions I will have the experience to do that. I have personal experience with my Grandfather who passed away in 2015 and now working with my Father who can no longer walk. I am a 29 year old CNA with roughly 7 years of experience caring for the elderly in both in home & clinical settings. I currently live in River North area of the city.
