Having a huge heart is one reason i became a caregiver. My friend is a quadriplegic and the person who inspired me to get my cna licence. I took care of him for 3 years untill i had my second child. I love what i do and wouldnt want to do anything else.

Losing my dad to dementia back in 2002 was devastating.I have often cared for family members and parents of close friends over the years, but my father having dementia was a game changer for me. I've never really gotten over it. I bring to the table compassion and love. You cannot adequately care for another human being without a heart full of love. I treat each and every patient like I want my own loved ones to be treated. My daddy did not get the care he needed and deserved, he was in a hospital and was neglected and passed away three days after aspirating on food he was eating unsupervised. I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't be there all the time. I want to give your loved one what my dad didn't get. I know it's really, really hard to deal with parents and loved ones being ill and I am here to help. I just love them and try to keep them smiling!

I have recently retired from a full time PTA and I am looking for an opportunity to remain in the "caregiving" field without all the pressure of productivity and paperwork . I have extensive training and educations on all types of medical conditions and physical restrictions. My children are grown and I'm looking forward to this next chapter in my life .

I am an upbeat positive spunky personality. I am punctual, adapt to each individual, and do not cut corners. I am a very fast learner. I decided to be a caregiver because I truly believe that every person, despite whatever challenge or circumstances that are presented, deserve to have the absolute best day (or night) they can possibly have, and it is an opportunity for me to positively impact someone's life, not just a paycheck.

I have been a care giver for years and i love it. To me, I want to think of my patients as my parents or my great grand parents. I will like to treat them as if they were my own. I do have experience in pretty much all aspect of the healthcare setting. Being it, taking care of the patient's in their homes or at the office or dealing with insurance companies. I I have knowledge about all of these aspect of healthcare that i believe could be beneficial to my clients or patients. I believe, with al these experiences that I have under my belt, I will be the right candidate for you and your family.

What makes me a great caregiver is my compassion for my assignment. This is what i am purposed to do so it gives me great joy to assist those that are in need. I enjoy having fun, I'm loving and I am honest.

I love not just helping others with their Health Care but I live for it. As a young girl my grandmother would take me to work with her and I would watch in awe how she helped others who could help themselves and nurse them back to health. I didn't know that I would be helping her as a teenager after she suffered a stroke and heart attack. But it was a joy and it was natural. when I am helping others whether a baby to an elder, I always hear her words ringing in my ear, treat people the way you want to be treated. So every Grandmother, Grandfather and so on are mines. The main thing I want people to know is that your family is not only safe, but I know how to turn me off, when I am taking care of a client they are #1 priority as far as I know my personal life has never interfered with My job duties.

A friend of mine, years ago, spoke to me about becoming a caregiver because of my customer service background. I went to a company, Home Instead, and went through many hours of training. Being able to help people is my main reason for becoming a caregiver. I'm a very patient person and I listen to my client's concerns. I am very proud of the work I've done so far. I give 100% to the person that I'm caring for and it makes me enjoy that I'm able to do so.

I am a very patient person. I come from a pretty chaotic family so I am used to dealing with all types of personalities. I adapt very well and I feel it's helped me become the empathetic and understanding person I am today. I hate seeing anyone in pain or upset and will do everything in my ability to soothe them and care for their every need. I know the pain of being down and out and that's why I attempt to make sure no one feels pitied or like they're not in control. For getting away without turning bitter, and instead, using that part of my life to help me grow into the person I am today.. All of our pasts shape us. What makes me a great caregiver? I believe it is because I genuinely care about others, especially the elderly. I have never sought to care for others for financial gain, but as things in our world have so quickly changed, I found myself needing extra work. I thought this would be the best natural fit for me as a part-time job. I would able to bring a smile to people's faces. I would get to visit the sick and dying and those that just need a helping hand. What could be better than assisting someone in need and being a friendly companion? My desire is to bring joy to others. My most memorable achievement in home care was the day I met Cheryl. Cheryl was an elderly woman who lived in my neighborhood, except she did not live in a house but a sidewalk. She had been on the street for years and it showed. I was able to befriend her and talk to her enough that she began to trust me. One day I found her lying on the sidewalk and not able to move- many tried to take her to the hospital but she would not go with them. I had earned her friendship so she let me take her to the emergency room. Although the cancer she had advanced to stage 4 she was given only had a few weeks to live. I was able to put her in touch with her children where she finally went home to, having died in their care being reunited after many long lost years apart. I got a card in the mail weeks later and and it simply said, ' you are my angel- thank you'

Hello, my name is Ruby. My personality traits are, I am a child of God, I am loving and caring, I had compassion. And sympathy for others. I love being a caregiver ever since I was younger, I always wanted to take care of people and help them to be better, and I feel that helping others is a blessing from the lord that he has given me. I'm a gardener and love fresh vegetables out of garden, and love my flowers. While growing up my mom always said take care of the elder and God will take care of me. I always helped the needed all my life, I really enjoy being with elder folks and comforting them plus I love their stories from the past .

I've been a caregiver for sometime now, my natural ability to care and help others is the main reason why I chose this path. I have patience and really try to understand and connect with the people I care for. My mother is a caregiver as well, and watching her care for her clients inspired me to do the same. I completed a degree in Social Work and am looking to get more experience in geriatrics care so that one day my goal to open up my own residential home can be possible. The Eldery has lived there lives and now they need someone to help them. I find that the Elderly are some interesting people. They tell the most fascinating stories about there lives.
