Caregiving has been my job for over five years now and I stayed on this kind of job because I love caring elderly persons. I treat my patients with extra loving care as if my own family member.

I am a very compassionate person. I like to laugh and pepole tend to be very comfortable around me. I'm easy going, a hard worker , dependable and enjoy meeting new people . I love working in this field it provides so much joy to help others. I love being able to come alongside families and help them . I value the relationships I build along the way. My goal with my families is to allow them to be completely themselves, to help them in the areas they need help and to do things the way they want it done. A major accomplishment in my life would be my two boys . Some traits that I have that are necessary in the health care industry are patience, great communication, attentiveness, loyal, humorous, caring & respectful. One thing that attracted to being a caregiver is the way my clients feel after I've done my shift, me being able to help someone is enough for me to have a great day! I enjoy helping them and the most I enjoy about it is that I'm able to learn about them, where they've grown up, the things they've accomplished, just hearing their lives makes me happy and I know it makes them happy as well.

I am a great caregiver because I take pride in my work. I treat my clients as if they are my own when providing care and treatment. I chose to become a caregiver because I have a passion and desire to help and give back to others. I am a great caregiver because I actually wanted to become a nurse because I was raised by my grandmother and I watched her be a caregiver to her parents and kids and also raise me as a daughter and I am her granddaughter. My great grandmother had multiple sclerosis when I was growing up as a young child and she lived next door to us. I used to go help my grandma take care of her till she got bedridden and passed. Both of my grandfathers also had Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's I was also a full-time caregiver to one of them as a young adult. What I enjoy most about being a nurse and a caregiver is companionship. Everyone needs somebody especially the elderly it's very lonely when you get older and I love being a nurse/ caregiver to have my client feel that Most beautiful experience of Someone that actually cares.

Caregiving is a very personal job, still I find ways to incorporate love, humor, cheerfulness, fun, hope, trust and optimism into my care. I look forward to building a close relationship with my clients as well as their family. I love that I get the opportunity to listen and learn about thier lives as it allows me to live vicariously through their many adventures, life accomplishments and travels. I find capturing their legacy most fascinating...respecting their dignity. Lastly and most importantly, meeting them when/where they need it most in their life's journey... be it a speedy recovery or their final chapter in the book of life.
