I use to be a CNA. I love working with and being around the elderly. Some of us from our church goes to the Nursing Home once a month and have service and fellowship with the residents. I am over the Nursing Home Ministry and I enjoy it. I have a passion for helping others.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I am a Home Health Aide for CareLinx, and I provide health care services in patients residences, perform domestic and household tasks, transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital, administer simple prescribed medications, assist with clients personal care activities, and general health care needs. Hi my name is Monica. I have been in the healthcare profession for 13+ years in an office environment. Three years ago my father-in-law became very ill and began developing dementia, at the same time my mother-in-law had just gone through hip surgery. I began staying with them nightly and maintained my daily job. Neither of them had any desire to go into any type of nursing home with strangers tending to them. They were very hesitant as well, to have anyone coming into the home. It was during this time I developed a strong desire to help and take care of them to the best of my ability. I took care of my father-in-law while my mother-in-law recovered from surgery, and held his hand until he took his last breath. I am a natural nurturer and it gives me great joy and satisfaction to take care of someone who cannot take care of themselves alone and are often very reluctant to be cared for outside of their home. I am a very passionate and patient person, and I have a zest for life, as it is so precious and not promised. My children are grown and out on their own now and I lost my husband suddenly in 2014. My desire is to leave an unfulfilling job and begin a rewarding career that will satisfy my heart and soul. Everyone needs a little sunshine, I always have a little in my pocket to sprinkle as needed.

I got into caregiving after being burn out in the food&hospitality industry. I love helping those that need it and want to continue to be in their home and not in a facility.

I've worked in several nursing homes, memory care units to total dependent patients. Alongside of being a Home Heath cna. I'm a certified nursing Assistant and have been for 3 years now I comepleted a 6 month course. I'm a quick learner and very easy to adapt to new changes. I'm very understanding and patient.
