Ive learned so much being a caregiver as far as kindness, empathy, and being patient with my clients. I also believe one of my greatest strengths as a caregiver is my ability to listen. I am an animal lover as well. But What makes me stand out being a caregiver is my ability to light up a room with my smile. I'm super caring, fun loving and want everyone around me to be happy.

I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I hope I be able to have the same done for myself if I be around that long. Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy.. I like to have fun get to know my client. Become friends and have a relationship. Hey there! My name is Laura and I think to be a great caregiver you must have compassion and empathy. You must also have great communication skills, and most importantly you must have patience. I wanted to be a caregiver because being able to provide assistance, support, and companionship to those in need makes me feel good. If I discribed myself to someone I would say I'm a giver. I've worked in the medical field for 30 years and loved every minute of it. Most of my life I worked in a physician office doing stress test and lab work. I started sitting with hospice patients five years ago as well as elderly that just needed assistance and a friend. I'm patient, a good listener and qualified. My degree is in respiratory therapy but working in a primary care office has taught me to be good at many general skills that have benifitted my work as a caregiver.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I am Nikita Crew from Covington, GA. I am 21 years old. I have worked in Customer Service for 3 years. I am a Home Health Aide for CareLinx, and I provide health care services in patients residences, perform domestic and household tasks, transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital, administer simple prescribed medications, assist with clients personal care activities, and general health care needs. I live inAnniston, Al and love walking, yoga, and reading when I am free. I am currently in college obtaining my Bachelor of Science in psychology at Liberty University. I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family. I enjoy helping others and bringing joy to others. What I enjoy most is the smile of clients face when I am with them preparing their meal, taking them shopping, watching movies, or just sitting back listening to them tell stories about their experiences. I was a nurse for 28 years and then became ill with several other immune diseases and how to stop that. Turn that time I have always just for caring for people indeed I took care of my mom when she passed I took care of my cousin when he passed with ALS and I took care of my cousin when she had cancer and I thought I can do this I know I can do this so here I am. And as a side note I am the very proud grandparent to two wonderful little girls that live in Dallas Texas, so I do tend to talk about them a lot! Lol

My name is Felicia. I'm has experiences in caring for my father and grandmother. My father is still living and is doing well. I'm a warm, loving pet who loves to laugh, love to reading and writing and being apart of something greater than me. I've learned more from the Dealing with Dementia course. My compassion to help others especially season adults and children with disabilities. I enjoy assisting with a patient who is living out their golden days. I'm proud to be apart of servitude to season adults like my veteran father and grandmother. I enjoy showing my love to help people through caregiving.
