I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I hope I be able to have the same done for myself if I be around that long. Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy.. I like to have fun get to know my client. Become friends and have a relationship. That is what makes me a good caregiver. Have excellent references.

If I discribed myself to someone I would say I'm a giver. I've worked in the medical field for 30 years and loved every minute of it. Most of my life I worked in a physician office doing stress test and lab work. I started sitting with hospice patients five years ago as well as elderly that just needed assistance and a friend. I'm patient, a good listener and qualified. My degree is in respiratory therapy but working in a primary care office has taught me to be good at many general skills that have benifitted my work as a caregiver.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I am Nikita Crew from Covington, GA. I am 21 years old. I have worked in Customer Service for 3 years. I am a Home Health Aide for CareLinx, and I provide health care services in patients residences, perform domestic and household tasks, transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital, administer simple prescribed medications, assist with clients personal care activities, and general health care needs. I live inAnniston, Al and love walking, yoga, and reading when I am free. I am currently in college obtaining my Bachelor of Science in psychology at Liberty University. I am a caring and compassionate nurse aide, very friendly and out going . I am cpr certified and have had a my tb shot. I've worked in several nursing homes, memory care units to total dependent patients. Alongside of being a Home Heath cna. I'm a certified nursing Assistant and have been for 3 years now I comepleted a 6 month course. I'm a quick learner and very easy to adapt to new changes. I'm very understanding and patient. In my 3 years of being a cna I have gained a lot of experience.

I have been working in the healthcare field since 2013, I have a heart for people and a passion to help others. Being able to help someone brings me joy. I was my mothers care giver for many years and she told me she believed I be a great nurse, that's one thing that has brought me to being a caregiver. I'm currently in school to become a LPN, I love being able to learn new things and get educated on different illnesses and diseases. I have experience in many different illnesses and knowledge on how to help others with that illness. I am here to listen and understand what others maybe going through. I became a caregiver out of necessity as my family needed to help. How ever I have remained one because I enjoy it. I find the elderly quite fun and their quick wit and stories of times past are very interesting to me. I have a A.S in Physical Education, a B. S in Exercise Science and I am currently working on a M.S in Public Health. I am an American Redcross certified C-Pro instructor. I also don't mind working with families that have kids and pets.

I became a caregiver in 2001, when my job begin to down size at a bank as a data entry operator. I went back to school and received my CNA certification. I stated my first job in a nursing facility in 2001. I began to care for the sick and elderly and grew attached to them. I could talk to them and share my stores as well as they would share there stories. I fell in love with them and now I enjoy caring for them and hopefully one day become a RN.

After being raised by my Great Grandmother it's something that became second nature, I'm good at it, and I love what I do. Helping someone that can no longer do for themself, and giving a 100% gives me a sense of pride being able to do it. Being a Mom,A Good One.
