I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I am a Certified Medical Assistant w/ experience of caregiving. I have many years experience in the medical field. I love caregiving due to the relationships that you develop and they are meaningful. The best thing about being a caregiver, is bringing joy to someone's life. When you help someone else feel good, it makes you feel good too. I care about my patients. If I discribed myself to someone I would say I'm a giver. I've worked in the medical field for 30 years and loved every minute of it. Most of my life I worked in a physician office doing stress test and lab work. I started sitting with hospice patients five years ago as well as elderly that just needed assistance and a friend. I'm patient, a good listener and qualified. My degree is in respiratory therapy but working in a primary care office has taught me to be good at many general skills that have benifitted my work as a caregiver.

I want to deal with geriatrics until I finish undergraduate because I have a lot of patience with older people. I need a slower pace from the hectic rehabs and nursing homes that I have worked at in the past. I'm super clean and calm. I have my own transportation and flexible hours, so hopefully you and I can compromise to give your loved one a clean and healthy home environment.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I became a caregiver because I wanted to give back to the community and take care of the elderly in the best possible way. The things I like about being a caregiver is the responsibility. I am Nikita Crew from Covington, GA. I am 21 years old. I have worked in Customer Service for 3 years. I am a Home Health Aide for CareLinx, and I provide health care services in patients residences, perform domestic and household tasks, transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital, administer simple prescribed medications, assist with clients personal care activities, and general health care needs. I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family.
