I am responsible, caring, outgoing and a very attentive person. What attracted me the most to be a caregiver is that I can build relationships with patients and keep them company throughout the day whenever they need it. Something I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is to help my patients out. Knowing I can help them with their adls or anything else makes me happy.

The skills I obtained during 23 years of being a Project Manager have easily transferred to other roles because of the importance of documentation, reliability, schedule and the need for details and providing weekly reports. In the last 3 years I have been a private caregiver with most of my clients having dementia, Alzheimer's, strokes, cancer, or hip replacement post care. I transferred out of the corporate world to something I was passionate about because of the influence on my parents impressing upon me to give back, to use my talents and heart to help others during times when freedom and dignity and a lack of companionship aren't providing the quality of life they deserve.

I am very patient with all patients. I pay attention to every thing that my patients need . I make everything to make my patients feel comfortable and happy. I love making company and talk and if it's possible we play some games on the table so my patients don't get bored. My goal is to make my patients feel better and comfortable enough to recover from anything they went through.

I have experience with mentally handicapped. I worked at a care center for 3 years and found enjoyment in helping others. I also have two kids of my own that I am raising and also am fulfilled in teaching and helping them to become dependent adults. My mother had a stroke 4 years ago and have helped her with rehabilitation and daily care to get her back to dependency. I am a patient individual and would love to have the opportunity to help people who are unable to help themselves.

What makes me a good caregiver is because I take care of my patient as they were my own parents or my own grandparents. I became a caregiver when my grandparents was not able to function on their own so I decided to quit my job nd took care of them in my home. I i started that kind of job when my mom have strokes two time n it's really bad.n only me not work that time.i move take care my mom cleaning take her shower cook n cleaning take her outside feat her.turn her every time excercise her.change her diaper.for 5yrs then she pass away,then i take care my dad do the same thing to my dad for 3 years my dad pass away.for that moment i like to do the same thing to everyone they need help.everytime when you I m do the other people i click to my mine my parents n i need to do the same thing i feel that my mom n my dad i have more love respect n treat them good n make them happy.that y i like to do that kind of job the love that have.to my parents i need to share other people.

Hello, my name is April and I have 10+ years experience working in the Home health care industry, and thoroughly enjoy it! I have provided care in homes and hospitals for a diversity of patients with Alzheimers, Parkinsons, dementia, and hospice needs. I am first aid and CPR certified, a CNA, and have started taking classes to become a nurse. I have had a variety of medical experience such as working in the University of Utah burn unit which required high medical standards. I have been told I am naturally compassionate and competent, especially when working with the elderly and disabled. I value honesty, hard work, and live a clean life style.
