I became a great caregiver due to my patients, I am a good listener, I learn by observing what my client may need or want. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I started housekeeping at a hosptial and I wanted to work my way up from there. Smiles and laughter of a client is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. When they know you are there to put their safety and needs first. To describe my personality traits, I am very sociable, understanding, caring, and particular. Being a mom, has helped me develop a lot of skills that would make me an excellent caregiver. What attracts me most to being a caregiver is the flexibility and knowing that the person I'm caring for is in good hands, because I treat people how I would want to be treated. I feel like caregiving was something I was born to do. I really enjoy to get to know new people and help them with the tasks they need help with. I find satisfaction in caregiving as a job because it is such a rewarding feeling. I was raised to always be loving and caring of others. I have worked with Individuals that display outburst behavior. I have been working with individuals that are mentally disabled for 11 years and that has taught me to be patient and kind.
