I became a great caregiver due to my patients, I am a good listener, I learn by observing what my client may need or want. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I started housekeeping at a hosptial and I wanted to work my way up from there. Smiles and laughter of a client is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. When they know you are there to put their safety and needs first. In the country were I grew up, we have no nursing homes nor assisted living facilities, therefore we have to take in our elderly and take care of them and that's how care giving comes so naturally to me.
