Hello I am looking for employment associated with UHC/CareLinx program. I am a mature adult, reliable and trustworthy. I have chosen the caregiving field for a few reasons. First, because of the need and who does not want to feel needed? I do. Second, there is a satisfaction to helping those who cannot do for them selves as they once did. Hello, my name is Xochi, a flower in the Aztec language. However, my middle name is Amy, which is easier to remember. I have been told often that I have a big heart and compassion for others. I have been previously in the social work field for the last twenty-five years. But what came next has impacted my life and led me to the decision I am much happier in the caregiver field. I was raised by my single mother and grandmother, who passed away a year from one another in 2019 and 2020. I had the privilege to care for and be there for them both, which I see as a personal achievement. Then the light bulb went on, and I never returned to my previous job. Today, I help the seniors and disabled in my neighborhood and care for my two senior citizens, four four-legged family members, Boy a Jack Russell Bread, 16 years old, and Darla Carolina, 17.

I became a great caregiver due to my patients, I am a good listener, I learn by observing what my client may need or want. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I started housekeeping at a hosptial and I wanted to work my way up from there. Smiles and laughter of a client is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. When they know you are there to put their safety and needs first. My personal achievement I am proud of is going to Psych Tech school that help me gain more knowledge and understanding of human behavior and disorders.

To describe my personality traits, I am very sociable, understanding, caring, and particular. Being a mom, has helped me develop a lot of skills that would make me an excellent caregiver.
