Being a caregiver for 10+ years has really helped me in so many ways. When my great grandmother was really sick and my family had a hard time finding help, I took it upon myself to take care of her until she passed away. This experience led me to my true passion.
I have worked in private homes, group homes, etc. My desire is for excellence, quality and most importantly "LIFE", and to provide individualized care to each of my clients with the utmost dignity and respect. I enjoy the opportunity to impact my clients' lives in a positive way. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. I always give 100% and do the best job I can with no exceptions and no excuses. I take care of my clients physically, mentally and emotionally to enable them to have the best quality of life possible.

Why I became a caregiver?I always like helping the elderlybecause they appreciate you and what you do for them.with a lot of my patients I feel I can always learn from them as they learn from me.I always help the family as well.anything I can do to make their lives easier and comfortable. Is ok with me.whenever I help them feel so privileged to be in their presence.
I am a devout Christian. Caregiving is my passion. I have been a Nurse/Caregiver for 30+ years. I am 8 credits away from an R.N. degree, though not currently enrolled in school. I have contributed to a successful nursing facility through excellent/professional care, referrals and word of mouth. And that, I am proud of! Due to having a burden for people, I am always compelled to help those in need. As a Caregiver, I have always assisted children and elderly, the like. I was a Therapeutic Foster Parent for 8 years, having had the toughest cases to meet me at my doorstep. The challenges brought sweet rewards. I originally became a Caregiver when I assisted my mother with activities of daily living for mentally challenged, teenaged boys. It was so natural for me, that I immediately knew, this was my calling. I do my very best to meet all the needs of each individual, thereby, going above and beyond the call of duty. I have never been in trouble, of any kind. I never have: drink/smoke/profanity/drugs/alcohol/diseases/partying or anything of the such.
I am very active in the church. I am very passionate about serving others, and even randomly assist my sister, who has MS, when she visits TX. I have a broad range of experience from MS, ALS, MSA, Cancer Recovery, Autism, Parkinson, and so much more!I've been helping others for 31 years, non-stop! I'm here to help your loved one live AT home, not IN a home! All of these aspects mentioned above, and many more, makes me an awesome Caregiver!
Hi, I'm a very trustworthy, loving, dependable person! I have 10 years of caregiving experience. I have been doing all this caregiving through volunteering at my church. I decided I loved taking care of people so much I wanted go to work at what I love doing! I have done most everything as a caregiver, i.e., light house work, meal preparation, grocery shopping, rides to dr. Appointments, run errands, companionship, and love the job!!! I treat my care partners like one of my family members.

Basic food preparation: preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands
General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and administering medicine
Mobility assistance: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower
Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and help getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle
Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional
Care for the elderly: orienting or grounding someone with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, relaying information from a doctor to family members
Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break
Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning
Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual's health, recording and reporting any differences I prefer weekend shifts or overnight
What makes me a great caregiver because i'm Independently and am kind,caring,personable individual who will provide non-medical,in-home care to clients,like seniors,and clients are with special needs.I will sit at hospital,or in home care at nursing facilities,and rehabs.My reason for becoming a caregiver I have passion for excellence and will bring my clients exceptional care and compassion.Things I like about being a caregiver is being able to be of service to the seniors are the the special needs.My personal achievement in being a caregiver and being proud of will be the love and and passion that I have to show my love and care and companionship I have for the elderly and people of special needs.
I became a caregiver to help people, to make a difference in someone's life. The best part of being a caregiver is knowing you were there to help someone in need (being needed). My biggest achievement was moving to Texas and taking the CNA class.I took care of my mother for 4 years after she had a couple strokes and was diagnosed with MS. I knew then taking care of others was my gift from God. I Love what I do. I am a single mother of 3 sons whom are all grown, I have 3 beautiful grandkids. Ive been a caregiver for about 12yrs. I love what i do. I have worked for mentally ill adults, senior citizens as well as Alzheimer dementia clients. I have experience with spinal injuries and ms clients. I have worked with colostomy bags urinals, hoya lifts medicine etc. Im also always willing to learn. Im kind soft hearted loving caring. Great listener hard worker. I am very reliable and always on time. I have references and a resume if needed.
Before my grandmother passed away in 2008, I had to learn how to take care of her while my dad was away at work majority of the time and I became her caregiver. It truly made me appreciate life so much being able to care for someone and also learn new skills, finding my personal strengths and feeling accomplished.
I've learned Patience. Those who provide home care to others need to be patient. Compassion; When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. (Attentiveness. Dependability. Trustworthiness.) I currently just passed my Nurse Aide written test but in 2 weeks will be taking my skills exam. My goal is to remain in the medical field because, it is my passion. Overall, learning to value life is what makes it great!
What makes me a great caregiver is that I have Passion and Heart in what I do. I'm an experienced CNA/Caregiver with over 15 years in this field. I have provided home care and nursing related services to patients of all backgrounds and conditions. I am very well versed at working with patients and their families to ensure that I am providing the very best service possible. I can be flexible with my schedule on case by case scenarios. I have also been tasked with providing safe transportation for patients when needed. I'm not much for bragging on my self but I will say that I have innate sense of selflessness and empathy, I try to show a willingness to serve, an absence of “attitude,” and the patience to weather a patient’s bad days, all with a smile on my face. I believe that happiness and laughter are on of the greatest heal tool ever. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. Or when your doing some little something special for them, they stop you, and say thank you.
