What makes me feel great about being a caregiver is that the client is loyal,and always happy. I am tolerant,patient,humble,able to work with tough clients.I also treat the client like if he or she was like my family.I don't take anything personal.I love my job and I'm patience I'm always nice and courteous I always put their needs first before mine.

I became a caregiver 26 years ago because I have a soft spot for the elderly and I enjoy helping and caring for the aging population. What I enjoy best being a caregiver is, I get to learn a lot from my elderly clients life experiences! I enjoy conversation with them, lending a helping hand, and a listening ear. All while providing genuine companionship.

I am a caring, compassionate, honest and dependable person. My experience includes one year as a caregiver for an elder gentleman, who was fighting leukemia. During the year that I was caring for him, I was responsible for G tube feeding, meds, ordering and delivery of required medical products, errands, shopping for groceries and needed items and banking. We were great friends and companions. The gentleman, sadly, passed away approximately one year after I was hired to care for him. At that time, his spouse asked me to stay on as a full time live-in house sitter and pet sitter. I lived there in that position, for another five years. I currently am caregiver for an elderly woman, on a six month basis. She has become well enough that she no longer has need for a caregiver.

Hi! This next year I will be a senior nursing student at Azusa Pacific University. I have completed over 700 hours of clinical care doing rotations that allowed me to gain experience with direct observation, medical/surgical, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, oncology, mental health, public health, hospice, and clinic work. I have a passion for nursing and helping others! I take each day as an opportunity to care for and bring a smile to the faces of those around me. I am someone who is hardworking, diligent, detailed oriented, caring, positive, adaptive, and loving. When I was growing up, my mother was in the hospital a lot and faced at home recovery as well. Due to this, I saw the importance of the care she received and recognized that when her nurse cared for her emotional needs along with her physical needs, that she was able to recover faster and also have a better mindset. Because of this occurrence, I hope to be a nurse that makes a positive impact on not only the patients physical needs, but emotional needs as well, so that they may receive holistic care. I aim to care for all my patients as if they are my family members because I believe that any patient is deserving of the best care possible!

I became a CNA/Caregiver to care for my Parents properly. Then I cared for others too when I was younger. I naturally Care for people, it is very rewarding to me. I like CNA work because I seem to have such a rewarding time with the person I care for. Everyone seems to go so fast in this computer age and it isn't like that when you care for someone. I have been told I calm people, I am fun, I listen, I simply care. I did save a women's life more than once and if a person is happy then it would naturally be they or he or she would have more of a will to be alive. i had a Son that was sick as he was growing up. It was very challenging for me to love someone so much and see him so young. Now I just like to make live's better and I do. My only criteria is that the person is truly nice to be around. I am reliable, dependable, patient, caring, loving, compassionate, honest and God fearing individual with a big heart, and a sense of humor. I have over three years hands on experienced in taking care of senior clients (with dementia / alzheimer diseases) in the comfort of their own home. My services include: shower/bathing, dressing, personal care, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation to Dr. appointments, errands, light cleaning, companionship and friendship. I am a caregiver for twelve (12) years now. I started working as an office staff of a Home Care Agency where I also helped with some caregiving assignments when no one can go or a caregiver is sick to work. I enjoy working with disabled children and the elderly. I took care of my grandmother when she was on hospice in 2011. I moved to Dallas to live with her and attended to her every need. I currently work with disabled children but would like to continue to work with seniors. I feel like most of them are forgotten by society and I want to give back to them by showing them compassion and helping them.
