I have always been an old spirit even at a young age. I enjoy all people young and old. When I first moved down to Florida I volunteered at Hospice of Northeast Florida. It was very gratifying. I am also a licensed Foster parent and have been for six years. I have always been a caregiver my whole life from babysitting at a young age to taking care of elders throughout my life. Helping others in need.

I have been a caregiver going on 5 years or so, I really enjoy being a caregiver. I love helping others, I love to see happy satisfied pateints, you get to meet new people and u grow with them you love them like you would want someone to love and care for your loved ones. You start to get attached to them like they're your loved one. I'm really big on good customer service and most importantly companiship. My personal achievement that I'm proud of as a caregiver is that my patients always love me and get attached to me. I love hearing them tell me how good I've worked today or how happy they are to see me today I wake up every morning with a pretty bright smile ready to go make someone else's day! I also help take care of my 83 year old grandmother and my 85 year old grand father.

What I like about being a Caregiver is the diversity of my clients, everyone has a different story and background. I love to listen about their lives, accomplishments, family and loved ones. It's like watching a Classic tale of another time and these stories become part of my life, parts not to be forgotten. I love to put not only my heart into my work, but my sensitivity, compassion, laughter,attentiveness and honest character as well. I have worked with some challenging cases like Alzheimer's, Cancer patient's, Stroke patient's and other types of illnesses. I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with and known my patient's, not just as patient's, but we became friends as well, and I was there when they needed me. I have been a CNA/Home Health Aid for several years, currently my license is inactive, but I still retain all the skills necessary to perform an outstanding job for you. I love to be a Caregiver and am thankful The Lord allowed such experiences in my life. I have been caring for the disabled and elderly in my family for several years. I believe that there is a nobility in caring for those who cannot do for themselves and acts of kindness make the world a little better. Caregiving is a job that often goes unnoticed but is very rewarding and brings me peace to know I'm working to make things easier for someone else. A personal achievement that I'm proud of would have to be providing for my daughter and making her smile. It drives me to work hard, so that I can keep doing activities with her that make her happy.

I have worked as a Caregiver for over 15 years. Went to college for LPN. I enjoy working to help & care for people, it is very satisfying to me, I feel it stems from growing up in a large family. Why did you become a Caregiver? My mother lost about 70% of her stomach from cancer and was in need of a Caregiver. I decided to quit my job at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and become her full-time Caregiver. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Clients really appreciate the service I provide for them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Putting my personal needs and wants aside to take care of my mother during a time when she was at her lowest point (emotionally, physically, mentally & financially), due to cancer. Tell us something about yourself. -I have seven years of experience as an Elderly Caregiver (Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Cancer, Hepatitis B & C, and other medical conditions). -I am Honest, friendly, and very compassionate with all my clients. I know how important it is to focus on helping my clients use the skills they currently possess and to be patient with any limitations they have. -I am a military wife, mom of 4 adult children, and 2 grandchildren. I'm also a part-time student at Florida State College of Jacksonville.
