I became highly interested in the health care field because I knew I could make a positive difference in people's lives. I am great people's person that is well outspoken. My work stands out from others and certainly speaks for itself. I have plenty of experience, working at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Emergency department. Currently have my CNA, GNA, & PCT. I enjoy working with people and helping them in anyway, I am COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) by trade, I have worked in SNF and outpatient therapy for about six years. I love being able to help a patient regain independence and help them compensate with a disability.

Why did you become a Caregiver? My mother lost about 70% of her stomach from cancer and was in need of a Caregiver. I decided to quit my job at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and become her full-time Caregiver. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Clients really appreciate the service I provide for them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Putting my personal needs and wants aside to take care of my mother during a time when she was at her lowest point (emotionally, physically, mentally & financially), due to cancer. Tell us something about yourself. -I have seven years of experience as an Elderly Caregiver (Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Cancer, Hepatitis B & C, and other medical conditions). -I am Honest, friendly, and very compassionate with all my clients. I know how important it is to focus on helping my clients use the skills they currently possess and to be patient with any limitations they have. -I am a military wife, mom of 4 adult children, and 2 grandchildren. I'm also a part-time student at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping those who are in need...I Been a caregiver for 8 years...I loved what I do and that's taking care of the ederly..My hourly rate is between 17.00-20.00 an hour depending on the case..I also do service calls up to 3 hours and it 75 for first hour and 25 for each additional hour, that will include light housekeeping..run errands...grocery shopping etc..

I am a very compassionate person that truly enjoys taking care of people. I became a CNA to be apart of a team that helps Patients and residents get the best care they deserve and to help in the healing process in whatever way I can. I have worked with the elderly in home and in a hospital setting. I have also worked in a pediatric emergency room and an adult emergency room. I find it extremely rewarding to bring a smile to someone's face that are in a health situation when they feel as if everything is going wrong. I love to give hope even in the worse of situations. My personal achievement that I am proud of is when a patient leaves the hospital and gives me a big hug and thanks me profusely is the best feeling in the world.
