Hi, I am a mom of 4. One of my kids have a heart disease which has landed him with 3 open heart surgeries all before he was 3. I am dedicated to my work and love for people. My dream has always been in the medical field so I can help people. I can not wait to extend my family with being a caregiver to someone that needs me.

I've been CNA certified in Cambridge Ohio in 2004 at Victorian Oaks where I worked with Althiemerz and Dementia patients. I love what I do so when I returned to Texas I decided to further my career and go to school for nursing. I completed my LVN, RN and I'm working on my BSN. I'm very passionate about what I do and I apply myself with my whole heart. I always went the opposite direction from Healthcare while finding a career. Until I was forced to take on the role, I never thought I was the type. Turns out im exactly the type and maybe even born to do it. I have a natural ability to care for people. I see beyond the brave words and read whats really wrong with people. I love that! To gain the trust of some that aren't so easy to give trust. Its priceless.

I became a caregiver in 2004 because I'd spent the last few years of my grandmother's life helping her while she suffered with Alzheimers. I saw how important it was for them to have someone there to help them with the day to day when family couldn't be. Then after I got into the profession my love for helping others just grew. To see the joy it brings to the person to sometimes just have someone there for a companion. I work full time at Rusk State Hospital working closely with clients on Therapeutic Rehabilitation. I went back to part time home health again in July 2021 and am so thankful that I did. In the last 4 years I've worked with some of the absolute most wonderful families. One client even always told his wife, "I'm sure glad she's coming today because I miss her, she's a sweet little girl". I feel such a connection with my clients that to me, they aren't just clients, they are family! I go above and beyond during my visits, I dont just cook and clean. I help out with things from small art projects to flower gardening with my clients, whatever makes them smile that day is what they needed. I am currently on my CPR and Basic Life Support Certification as well.

I started out working in the kitchen dishwasher n I saw people taking care of residents in the nursing home n so one day I decided that I wanted to be a care giver taking care of the residents when I started I couldn't do it I cried because I was the type of person didn't like to start something and couldn't finish so I prayed to the Lord and ask him to give me a strong hearth an mind to be a good certified nurses aide n he did and I became one and I been a nurses aide for years then I became a medaide been that for 21 years that's how I got started

The most I enjoy about being a caregiver is be able to care for the elder and treat them if they was my own grandparents and be there for them when they need someone the most. My personal achievement would be being 110% to patients and helping them accomplish whatever it might be.
