I love what I do, and I enjoy coming in to each of my clients lives, and getting to know them on a personal level! I graduated from Rasmussen college with my diploma in medical assisting in April of 2021, covid had hit and I decided I didn't want to be in the doctors office, rather one on one with a client in caregiving. I would like to say that every client along with their family members have been amazing and have welcomed me in their home as one of their own. I have always had a soft spot for seniors and really enjoy hearing their stories. I am a great caregiver because I provide excellent care to elderly/disabled people who can't do for themselves. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is me being able to work with hospice patients. I was scared to work with hospice patients when I first started as a certified nurses aide, but I work with them everyday now and I love it!!! I have been a caregiver in some respects since 1981, when I had the first of my five children! I earned CNA licensure in 1993 or so, and worked in the hospital setting in various departments. I have spent the last 17 years in another form of caregiving -- that is, teaching Spanish in public high school , tutoring, and in industry. I re-certified my CNA licensure a few years ago, and am interested in finding part-time work at present. Thank you.
