I became a caregiver because I took care of my old mother that needed help and couldn't care for herself people came in my house and did not give my mother the cares that she needed and I felt so sorry for her so I had to leave one of my job to help her. 2. Being a caregiver I like helping older people meet their needs helping them reach their goals and seeing smiles on their faces.My personal achievement that I am proud of when I go to work and I make my resident smile and they know that they have someone every day to look up to that make them to feel they are love and care for. I enjoy working one on one with people and getting to know them as a person, rather than a client. I believe that people should be able to live how they would like to live, regardless of the state of their health--if you're not enjoying life, then what is the point? I am patient and empathetic, and try to always think of how I'd like to be treated if the roles were reversed.
