I am a fun, laid back, compassionate person. I am a believer that being professional does not mean not having fun or enjoying your job. I love being a caregiver because I love helping people. As a caregiver, caring for senior citizens and those in needs requires: Patient, self control, staying alert, vigilant ,fitness and experience. The daily routine of a caregive is very important and demanding, assist in daily activities, meal preparation, medication reminder, errands, house cleaning, ROM , conversation and transport to an appointments. So far with my experience as a professional caregiver i have worked different cases of demential, stroke, diabetic,anxienty disorder and hospice companionship and i am so glad to see some happy and those that fully recovered. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, "that's not my job" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I have been Working in healthcare for 7. I knew taking care of others was my calling when a close family member became ill with cancer and I took care of her up until she passed. Another reason I enjoy starting my homecare business is because I always wanted to be the one to take care of my grandmother. I believe everyone deserves a great caregiver. I understand it can be a hard process of allowing someone in your home and it may feel like you're losing your independence.
