When I made the decision to become a Certified Nursing Assistant it was because I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. I have had personal experience with loved ones who were not given the proper care they needed to thrive, so I decided to do something about it and get my certification, and it was the best decision I have made because by being a CNA I have had wonderful opportunities to meet many diverse people and given the chance to aid them in their last days or bring a smile to their face when life got them down. I believe I make a great caregiver because I have compassion and an understanding what its like to have a loved one who needs some assistance. I always think in every situation what it would be like if it was my own mother or loved one, and how I would want them to have the best care possible.

I've worked as a care giver for a year but had to Quit due to my school schedule not working out. I am currently going to school to be a medical assistant, and I love working as a care giver because I love helping other my mom work as a care giver for several years and I would watch her help other which attacked me to be a care giver. I really enjoy hearing my clients stories and their past.

When I was out of the room I dried the tears from my eyes and that's when I instantly knew that helping people in need was my passion. My ultimate dream is to be the caregiver that makes an impact in the patient's life while they're in the hospital recovering. I always make sure the patient is comfortable by going above and beyond by always remaining positive.

I am a very kind compassionate person who possesses empathy for all humankind. I am very understanding and humbled to those in need being able to offer my helping hand is always a job well done to me. What attracted me to become a caregiver is when my step father became ill with cancer and I had to provide 24-hour care for him which taught me to be very grateful and thankful for health and the time that we all have here on Earth. The greatest thing I enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to provide my love, support and companionship to those in need. The greatest Personal Achievement I have accomplished by becoming a caregiver is learning to be more thankful and appreciate life more and it's also has taught me to have more patient and more understanding. To hear the family as well as the clients tell me how much of an outstanding job I do as well as the care, compassion and companionship I offer is a priceless payment in its self. Being able to hear that is the best achievement one can get.

I've always been a care giver at heart even when I was little. I even had a pet chicken that thought I was his mother. Thanks to good parents I had a few animals that I got to care for before they became humans so I had a lot of practice. When I would think of my own parents getting on in their years I thought about who I would've wanted for them if they needed someone. I thought of myself because I love to make others comfortable. If they were sick it was me who took care of them. If my parents were gone it would've been me to think of their return and how to make it easier for them. I am very easy to talk to and am a great listener. The stories that the elderly share I have cherished. It's a part of them that I get to keep. If I can make someone's day brighter, cheerily and hopeful than I m where I need to be. We both win on a day like that.

I am a 29 year old mother of two. I have been married for 8 years. My passion is to become a Registered Nurse and pursue openning my own senior care home. I have worked as both a caregiver and a medication technician. I am open to all shifts but my preference is overnights. Long shifts are not a problem for me. I pride myself in my ability to help others hold on to their diginity even though they may need some added help. Caring for others is truly my passion and I believe firmly that the only way to do great work is to love what you do!

Ever since I worked my first job as a helper at an Adult Care Home when I was 17, I knew that it was my calling. This job changed me in ways I didn't know possible, it's made me the patient and caring caregiver that I am today.

I am extremely loving, caring, compassionate, and concentrate. I not only hear the words someone is speaking I also look at the non-verbals. I advocate for the client and their families. I am a friendly & outgoing person who has grown up with my grandparents in Tucson. As my grandparents have grown in age I have been able to care for them a lot more than usual through their surgeries and everyday needs. I am going to nursing school to get my bachelors of science in nursing. I have my CNA license and I have done many clinicals in assisted living homes. I definitely have experience with senior care, and I am available to start whenever needed.

I became a caregiver after a 5 year career in vertebrate fossil restoration. A big change, but a good one. I am happiest when I can work with others one on one and go home with the knowledge I've had a positive impact. Growing up, I had family with disabilities, this helped me shape the person that I am now. When I take care of people I think on how I would like my family to be taken care of and how I would like to be taking care of.
