From a very early age I took care of my mother. She was paralyzed on the right side of her body due to an accident that she had when I was 7 years old. I started taking care of her when I was 15. She passed away at 57. I was 28 years old at that time. I cooked, cleaned, helped with shopping and finances. Helped her with grooming and did her hair on a regular basis. Took her to restaurants and doctors appointments. I enjoy taking care of people and making sure that they know they are important and cared for.

I become a caregiver because I like to help,my soul feels good whenever I'm helping somebody

I am certified care giver but I am certified like CNA and PCt I love to work with older people I have some Treining with patients with Dementia and Althzaimer I always like to help and be with this person they need a lot compasion love and company for them I love to be a part of there life is hard job but have a lot satisfactions too

My name is Cosondra I am 21 years old, I'm finishing my last semester of prerequisites or Nursing. I have 3 summer classes left then I can apply for a 4 year Bachelor Nursing program. I am a very high energy, motivated, hard working individual. I do ask questions, and I don't like the job "done" until its done RIGHT. I was taught growing up "don't do it unless its done right". I was raised by my two grandparents, they are my everything as I am theirs. They taught me to be patient, caring, and loving all at the same time. I am a caregiver because I want to make a difference, from helping change a pair of pants to just be a set of open ears. I enjoy helping others help themselves get better, and at the same time keeping a smile on their face!!

My compassion and Empathy is what makes me a strong care giver. I am able to put my self in the place of my client. I have been a patient myself and I have had loved ones in long term care and understand what they went through, losing your independence and having to trust in the care of others. My Mother was a Nurse for most of her life and I respect her more than anyone else on this planet ,that is what inspired me to get into nursing, I have 25 years experience in most health care settings. I am most proud of being strong, compassionate, empathetic, and technically sound and my best attribute is that I still genuinely care about the well being of others after 25 years of being a care giver.

Dependable, Honest, on time or typically a hour early, sweet, kind hearted, love being around people and making the laugh or just being that person they can talk to. I normally don't cook but i have recipes, i would totally be up to learning how to cook anything, i am more of a baker. I'm attracted to being a care giver because it allows to be around people and hopefully see them get better from all the help i have provided them. I really like being around others. A personal achievement for me would that my patient gets healthy and no longer needs my help and gets to go home with family.

I pride myself in making sure my clients are well taken care of and happy. I believe that the patient deserves to be comfortable in their own homes while not having to worry about whether they will be taken care if properly.

I have over 3 years as a private caregiver. Am compassionate loving and caring and truly want what's best for my clients. When I was doing my clinicals I fell in love with caregiving and knew that that was my calling I have been told that I am angel in him one of a kind when it comes to caregiving and I take pride in that. What I enjoy most about caregiving is knowing that I am helping someone in need and helping make their life as comfortable as possible. One p ersonal achievement that I am proud of is returning back to college in my 30s in finding a career that I actually love in caregiving.

Growing up, I had family with disabilities, this helped me shape the person that I am now. When I take care of people I think on how I would like my family to be taken care of and how I would like to be taking care of. Ive been working in this field for 2 years and I have enjoyed it, there's good and bad times taking care of people and Im aware of that.

What makes me a great caregiver is that i have a grandma who is ill that i help take care of. She has COPD, EMPHYSEMA, HEART FAILURE, LUNG FAILURE, DIABETES ETC.. My personal achievement i am proud of would be that i love to care for others, i made care packages for the homeless an that was the most heart whelming for me.

I am a great caregiver because I am a caring person. It comes naturally. That makes me able to be patient, understanding, and compassionate when caregiving.

I am a very kind, caring, patient person who enjoys helping others who is soft spoken i have a great personality i like to laugh non judgmental . I became interested in this field when my great-grandmothers health started declining. i enjoy helping others i find it rewarding feels good to help someone who is unable to help themselves. a lot of clients have busy family members. or no family members at all so that's where i come in extend family. what makes me proud of the job i'm doing is when clients request me to come back.

Hey I'm Mary I am a very friendly and social person with a big heart I got into caregiving because I grew up with a disabled mother and had to help her on a daily basis I know what it's like to have to trust a stranger with your loved one and how hard it is to not be able to do more. That's why I got into this line of work was to be the person that I would have wanted to take care of my mom. I love my job everyday being able to put the smallest smile on my clients face makes my day.

I am a compassionate caregiver with a can do attitude. I am energetic and like to help in any way possible. I have been working as a caregiver for the last 8 years because I enjoy being able to help people. I am pursuing my nursing degree so that i may further my career with my passion for helping people.

I am a state certified caregiver who are also certified in administering medication. My full time job is MedTech at a large assisted living community and I supervise caregivers and oversees ADLs of 90 residents. I had worked in restaurants as waitress so I have excellent customer service skill. Treating people with respect and kindness comes natural to me. I love animals and can also help with your pets.

*Prefer to work only with female adults* Our hearts , minds, memories and more make up who we are and sometimes we forgot those things through external circumstances, illness, or things out of our control. That's where I come in. When I meet the person I am to care for , I want to know all about them . It's not just about the basic of care given as anyone can do that, I want to make sure I give my 110% and am always studying. I want to know what are their favorite things , where did they grow up, belief system, triggers, anything about her or him that can help me add happiness to his or her life and those around him or her. Being understood is very important for anyone especially to those who are being affected physically and or mentally. This allows me to give the right care. This all started for me as a child , my sister was born with down syndrome and I was always around individuals that had unique abilities different from others. They were innocent and always seemed complete to me. Their will power to strive was always there and their laughter contagious. My sister gave me more gifts than anyone in this world could offer to me . She taught me values of the heart and things I can see in people that others sometimes can't. Growing up, I started learning that society even some so called caregivers didn't treat people that were unique as beautiful people . I learned quick to become a strong advocate for those who are not being treated right at a young age and even had to get into fights ( which I am not proud of ) to protect my sister and others from these people . As I grew up and matured, I learned to advocate through the legal system and rules which I used on countless occasions. I want to make a difference in how the way the system is ran and can only do so much, but the little difference I make in someones life today , makes their tomorrow better. That's what I enjoy most , making a difference.
