What makes me a great caregiver is that i have a grandma who is ill that i help take care of. She has COPD, EMPHYSEMA, HEART FAILURE, LUNG FAILURE, DIABETES ETC.. My personal achievement i am proud of would be that i love to care for others, i made care packages for the homeless an that was the most heart whelming for me.

I've worked as a care giver for a year but had to Quit due to my school schedule not working out. I am currently going to school to be a medical assistant, and I love working as a care giver because I love helping other my mom work as a care giver for several years and I would watch her help other which attacked me to be a care giver. I really enjoy hearing my clients stories and their past.

I like to consider myself as an Angel who brings peace, comfort , companionship and love to my patients. I love to spoil my patients with my gourmet cooking, healthy eating and keep them physically active. I adore people born in the twenties and thirties. I love to sit and listen to my patients about their lives and memories. I am meant to work with these people and comfort them during this time that they deserve respect, love and compassion.

First and foremost I'd say I'm very empathetic. I grew up as the only girl in the household so I naturally fell into the role of caring, loving and providing support. I have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to show others a genuine loving kind spirit that will put your loved one at ease. I will earn their trust and confidence and we will both gain a friend. I have about 10 yrs as a caregiver. I was a student nurse for 1-1/2 yrs and although due to life's circumstances fell just short of graduating my proudest accomplishment is raising 3 kids as a single mom coming up thru poverty to hold my certification as a sterile processing tech making great money and happy that my kids turned out so great now 24, 29 and 31.

At home health care came to me back in 2015. A previous employer who I nannied for asked me to consider helping with her mother inlaw. I accepted and loved it. Now I currently work with a family who has a mother staying home with dementia. We have good days mostly although at times we face challenges. I hope to continue this service even after I complete school.
