I have family members i take care of and being a parent and teacher drove me to become a caretaker. I love people and everyone needs help especially those whi cannot fend for themselves. I am honest and a hard worker and loyal.

I treat all of my clients the way that I would expect someone to treat me if I were in their position. I have experience in Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, incontinence care, Alzheimer's Disease, and various other conditions. Being in this field I know how vital it is to pay attention to detail, so any change of behavior or in overall health I notice immediately, and take proper procedures to ensure the best outcome for my client and my client's family. I have my CNA/CHHA license, and I am CPR certified. I also have reliable transportation, and do not mind taking my client to their appointments, and other errands. I chose this field because of my sister Amy. My sister had Down-Syndrome and required around the clock care. I helped care for my sister growing up, and in doing so, it inspired me to take this route in life. Its very rewarding for me to help others. I am a great listener, and I love to see a smile on my client's face.

I didn't realize that I had a passion for this field of work until I took care of my father, He was a diabetic, high blood pressure, legally blind, on dialysis, there was a time when I actually performed his dialysis in the home, I had to be up on night due to his dialysis being done. It was then when I realized how much I wanted to proceed my career in this field.

My name is Sage Dixon and I am 20 years old. Growing up, my father was always ill. I am the oldest of three children so I had a lot of responsibility. I had to start driving at 15 so that I can take my dad to and from his doctors appointments. Taking care of him on a daily basis made me want to pursue a career in the medical field. Starting my senior year in high school, I took a certified nursing assistant course and had to be at school everyday from 5 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon then I still had to go work at my part-time job. I was always tired but I never complained because I knew I could do more. My dad's health was and still is so important to me. I enjoy helping him and I know he appreciates me for it. When I graduated from the Certified Nurse Assistant course, he was so proud of me and I decided to take on the nursing path long term. Working as a student and taking care of my dad has taught me a lot through life and I'll forever be grateful.

What makes me a great caregiver is my care and concern for my clients. It brings me great joy to be able to help my clients reach their goals. I first got into this field because of my mother, who is a nurse, but i soon found my own passion and reason that has kept me in this field my whole adult life. Yes I believe I would and am, a very great care giver. My grandfather suffered from a stroke a few years back I am great with him.We go for walks, go to parks to exercise, and appointments. I also I have a friend who's mother is bed written and need bedroom changing ,clothing changing ,food prep ,hair, teeth and lots of other things. She is in a home now so they no longer need my help but I still visit with her as much as possible and bring her a few things she enjoys.
