I became a caregiver because I enjoy caring for others and maintain their well being. What I like about been a caregiver is the gratification of making a difference in patients life's by assisting them with their activities of the daily living and providing them with comfort. I am proud of the feedback my patients and their families give me because I know I am doing my job and I am giving my best as a caregiver. I am very committed and dedicated to my job. I am in the process of becoming a registered nurse and I make sure to always be as safe as possible with my patients, always maintaining great communication skills to provide the highest quality care.

I am the younger sister of a brother with Autism. I have also been "best buddies" with several young children with Autism or Down Syndrome. I have been employed by Cambrian HomeCare for the last two years as a respite care provider. I plan on obtaining my Master's Degree in Social Work and Administration of Justice. Hello, my name is Lisa and I have been a caregiver for the past 12 years now and enjoy helping people get things accomplished that they cannot do themselves. Helping the client get things done such as housekeeping, laundry, cooking, grocery shopping, and errands lets them live a more stress free life. They feel like they have accomplished what they wanted to for the day. I'am a very patient person when I work with clients with dementia and understand how to take care of their illness. I have been trained as a Certified Nurse Assistant and a Home Health Aide and also took nursing classes at the college such as medical terminology, biology, pharmacology, math for meds and psychology. I have a passion for helping the elderly and disabled.

I am a certified nurse assistant searching for morning shift. I am taking classes at night. Im friendly, fun, out going, likes to dance, shop, hang out, and loves to joke and laugh. Although there are time where i am serious, responsibe, organized, and like to get things done on time.

Because my heart is big enough to share love to those who I care for. At first it was because I needed to provide for my children, once I started working in the field I fell in love with caring for people. I am married, with four grown children,ten grandchildren, I love to garden as well as fish with my husband,I also like sewing and reading and I attend church on a regular.

I became a caregiver when my grandmother became ill with cancer and I had to take care of her , from that day on I new that this would be something that I would want to do in life . A personal goal for me is to become a rn to be able to work with people and see the smile on there face when they get better, or just a smile on there face to have someone that really cares be there.

I also have an AA-Degree in Human service and have several years of experience working with people with disabilities.

I became a caregiver back in 2001 when my grandmother got sick then soon after I went to school to become a CNA and I have been in this field every since. I enjoy caregiving because I take pride in helping others in need. I am hard-working, patient, skilled and have deep empathy for others. I choose the path of being a caregiver because i was raised having so much respect and love to elderly. I have so much patient and understanding in their needs and feelings.
